38 Change shooting time In some cases it can be necessary to shorten or increase the sighting or competition shooting time of a lane In such a situation do the following steps: 1 Only mark the lane(s) where you want to shorten or increase the shooting time in the lane table of the competition control program 2 Click onto the safety button in the toolbar to switch the lanes to safety mode This stops the time of the selected lanes and the lock symbol appears in the status column of the range table 3 Do a right mouse click on the lane table to open the configuration window There select the option Change remaining time in the action table 4 Select the time change in the Change field and press the Shorten remaining time or the Increase remaining time button to shorten or increase the remaining time 5 Click onto the safety button in the toolbar to switch the safety mode for the lanes off Directly after switching off the safety mode, the time starts to run again 24

39 Interrupt a match In some cases it can be necessary to interrupt a match and freeze the shooting time and actual state of the lanes To interrupt a match do the following steps: 1 Mark all the lanes where you want to interrupt the match in the lane table of the competition control program 2 Click onto the safety button in the toolbar to switch the lanes to safety mode A lock symbol appears in the status column of these lanes 3 When you want to continue press the safety button again to switch off the safety mode The match continues at the state the safety mode was activated If it is necessary to extend to remaining shooting time, look in chapter 38 310 3101 Move a shooter to a spare lane Failed lane still visible in competition control If an EST or display computer fails in a competition, but is still visible in the competition control pro gram, do the following steps to move a starter to a spare lane: 1 Make sure that the spare lane is free If not, mark only the spare lane in the lane table of the competition control program and use the function Firing point actions->free firing point 2 Then only mark the failed lane in the lane table of the competition control program 3 Do a right mouse click on the lane table to open the configuration window There select the option Move firing points in the action table 4 Type in the lane number of the spare lane in the field Move marked firing points to number from 5 Press the Move firing points button 6 If necessary increase the remaining shooting time of the shooter as described in chapter 38 25

3102 Failed lane is not visible in competition control If an EST or display computer fails in a competition and is not visible in the competition control program anymore, do the following steps to move a starter to a spar lane: 1 Switch of the control PC of the faulty lane No data will be lost! 2 Make sure that the spare lane is free If not, mark only the spare lane in the lane table of the competition control program and use the function Firing point actions->free firing point 3 Then only mark the spare lane in the lane table of the competition control program 4 Do a right mouse click on the lane table to open the configuration window There select the option Change firing point number in the action table 5 Type in the lane number of the faulty lane in the New firing point number field 6 Press the Change firing point number button Then the spare lane gets the lane number of the faulty lane and automatically reloads the data for the faulty lane 7 If necessary increase the remaining shooting time of the shooter as described in chapter 38 26

311 Print shot log In some situations like when there is a cross shot or a shooter protests a shot value, it can be useful to print out a shot log The shot log presents the data of all measured hits (coordinates, hit values, timestamps) of a single target in tabular form To create a shot log print, do the following steps: 1 Open the Shot protocol program in the Meyton Control Center 2 Use the function File->Open log file(s) from the menu or click onto the open button toolbar in the 3 Then drag & drop the cabinet of the desired lane from the left area of existing log files into the right area of the log files to be loaded Then click the Load button 4 Back in the main window double click onto the table line of the desired target 5 A new windows with the data of the target opens There click onto the Print tab section 6 To create the log printout use the button Print log button in the Print log area on the right side Before printing you can create a preview by clicking the Preview button 27

312 Print target with one-to-one size When using a control sheet behind the measuring frame it can be useful to print out a one-to-one size target with all the hits that were measured by the Meyton system Then you can put the control sheet with the shot holes on top of the one-to-one target printout and line them up With this method you can confirm that the Meyton system measured all hits correctly WARNING: To get a fully accurate one-to-one printout of the target you have to calibrate the used printer first! You can do this with the Calibrate printer function in the printer selection dialog To create a one-to-one target print, do the following steps: 1 Do the steps 1-5 as described in the chapter 311 2 Select if you want to print the shots of all positions on the same target or print a target for each position with the corresponding options in the Print target area on the right side 3 To create the target printout use the button Print target button Before printing you can create a preview by clicking the Preview button 28

4 Maintenance 41 Check EST's hardware before competition To check the status of the measuring frames before a competition, do the following steps: 1 Mark all lanes in the lane table of the competition control program 2 Use the function Diagnostics->calibrate the measuring frame in the competition control program Or click onto the icon in the toolbar 3 The control PC's switches to the blue screen Wait until the calibration is finished and the message "[Wtg] - Back" appears on the bottom of the screen 4 Then look at the Amplification area in the middle of the screen There are two lines of data values, which describe how many light barriers are in the states F1, F2, F4 and F8 The first line shows the status of the light barriers of the horizontal axis (x-axis) The second line shows the status of the light barriers of the vertical axis (y-axis) The states have the following meaning: F1: light barrier is in perfect condition F2: light barrier is slightly dirty F4: The light barrier is very dirty and should be cleaned as soon as possible (correct measurement still possible) F8: The light barrier is totally dirty or faulty and must be cleaned immediately!!! (correct measurement in every situation can't be guaranteed anymore) 5 If there are light barriers in state F4 or F8, the frame should be cleaned Follow the instructions in the Measuring Frame Cleaning manual 29
