16 DID YOU KNOW? Please take note that all cedar wood is subject to the natural process of checking. Checking happens as wood releases moisture, and normally occurs across or through the annual growth rings. It is the usual result of wood seasoning. Checking occurs only on the surface of the wood, and does not affect the structural performance or the integrity of the wood. Our fencing is made with a distinctive method of doweled end construction. Our pressure-treated posts are able to withstand most weather conditions, and the doweled construction enables the post to be seen from both sides of the fence.

17 CEDAR FENCING Please note that Cedar fencing is a natural product, and may be subject to warping, twisting or checking. Applying a protective finish to prolong the life of the fencing is recommended; it will not prevent warping, twisting or checking that may occur. The type of finish depends upon the desired look, environment, and weather conditions. Waterproofing sealant helps prevent rain and moisture from soaking into the wood. Stain provides a durable finish coat, while maintaining the natural look of the wood. Paint adds color that can easily be coordinated with a home; a durable exterior latex paint over an oil-based primer provides ample coverage and color. HOMEOWNER INFORMATION Our fencing, gate hinges and latch devices may not meet local ordinance requirements, depending upon the municipality. It is the homeowner s responsibility to contact his or her township for guidelines, codes, variances and permittable structures prior to installation, as each township has its own ordinances. Failure to do so may result in delays in installation. All specifications of materials are approximate, and subject to availability of such materials. All images herein are for representative purposes only. All pricing provided for estimates is subject to change without notice, and not considered final until a signed contract and deposit of one-third (1/3) the total is received. There are no refunds, returns or exchanges on fencing that shows signs of the natural process of warping, twisting, or checking, and no refunds on fencing that has started or completed installation.
