It produces a range of high quality garden buildings and accessories, as shown on this page. During Winter there will be a high moisture content due to absorption resulting in expansion of the timber, whilst in the Summer months the moisture content will be low, due to drying by the sun, which will cause contraction and may result in occasional cracking or knots falling out. We therefore respectfully point out that Ashwood cannot be held responsible for any warping or cracking due to this movement. However, to minimise movement and to protect the timber, we do recommend that a quality wood preservative be applied annually to help increase the lifespan of our products. Ashwoods own brand `Golden Brown Shed Treatment, which is a timber preservative with a wax treatment (water repellent), is available in L containers from your local stockist. Page 20 Page

Manufactured from 2 x 2 planed timber framing, clad with TGV Redwood Shiplap, 22mm TGV floor on 2 tanalised floor joists, the roof is again TGV with mineral felt. There is an access door for cleaning and a large pop hole door (suitable for hens, ducks, geese etc), a vent window, perches and large external nest boxes accessed via a hinged lid. As an optional extra we can supply a large run. The run can be connected to the house on part of the run, thus giving a dry feed area. Once again the run is constructed with 2 x 2 planed timber framing and heavy gauge weld mesh (inc top). Full wire access door to run with sliding bolt for security, TGV Shiplap door for access to dry feed area. Ramp also supplied. House APH 60 Well constructed from 2 x 2 planed framing, TGV Shiplap cladding, TG flooring on tanalised joists, with heavy gauge weld mesh. The top of the run slides for access to the run, there is a door from the run in to the house (which includes a perch and a nest box) and a hinged lid for access into the house. Our Free Range Chicken House is built to the same high specification as our Garden Sheds, with practicality, versatility and durability in mind. The basic house is of a Pent (sloping) roof design and has an access door and a viewing window in the front and a `pop-hole' in one side. It is fitted with three nest boxes, with an internal platform, that have a lift up lid to enable egg collection from the outside. Two perches are fitted on the inside. This building can be supplied with skids for ease of movement and/or a slatted floor for easy cleaning if required. It is only available in the one size that is sufficient for about 20-2 birds Workshops CHX CHX2 Slatted Floor Skids 6 8 Free Range Chicken House CHICKEN HOUSE & RUN A compact Chicken House and combined Run suitable for up to 6 medium-sized birds. The Run is 9 long and wide and has a square by 2 high House, with access ramp, raised above ground level at one end. Access to the house for egg collection / cleaning is via the hinged roof. A small wire door is incorporated in the side of the run for access to it. Being constructed from solid timber (no ply!) and galvanised weld mesh it will last for years. The standard building is supplied with double doors at one end and a ` pane window in one side wall. A spacious kennel with an adjoining run all under one roof.

The adjoining run is constructed with a heavy duty galvanised mesh front and also has an access door.

The standard building is supplied with double doors at one end and a ` pane window in one side wall. A spacious kennel with an adjoining run all under one roof. These buildings are made to the same specification as our garden sheds. The house area is square with a solid timber floor and has a door at the front for access. The adjoining run is constructed with a heavy duty galvanised mesh front and also has an access door. Another small timber door is included in the internal partition for animal access between the house and run. It consists of a roosting house with a large flight attached. An external mesh door provides entry to the flight area whilst another internal door allows access to the roosting area. A separate viewing window on the front of the building can be removed so that extra flight area can be added using our aviary panels (see below). This space saver will fit into most gardens and with double doors that open fully, you can put plenty into it from logs to a mower or bicycle.
