Each collection offers its own unique style and characteristics that meet these criteria. Why Eucalyptus? Eucalyptus grandis is a sustainable plantation-grown hardwood actively replanted in temperate regions around the world. Supply is plentiful and stable. This heavy hardwood earns high marks for its strength, rich appearance and durability. Why Yellow Balau? This is a heavy hardwood that is native to Southeast Asia. The wood is extremely strong, durable and resistant to decay. Quality Construction Many of our products are constructed using true mortise and tenon joinery which makes furniture exceptionally strong. Joints are secured with weatherproof glue and many are pegged for added strength. Weather resistant hardware ensures additional durability. We designed GardenWood Furniture to be assembled with ease. Most pieces are already partially assembled and can be completed with common household tools. Care of GardenWood Furniture In order to maintain the appearance and extend the life of your GardenWood Furniture, please follow these general instructions for care and maintenance. A surface coating is vital for the protection of your furniture. A regularly maintained finish will help protect it from moisture, premature darkening or splitting when exposed to weather. Untreated furniture will turn color and develop cracks. Also, it is important to store your furniture under cover during severe weather and in the winter. Wood can shrink and expand with changes in humidity and temperature. These are natural occurrences and do not affect the stability of the furniture. Maintenance To maintain the appearance of your furniture, apply a penetrating oil or other suitable coating once or twice a year. Look for a product that is recommended for outdoor furniture. Products containing anti-fungal and UV inhibitors can provide added protection. Be aware that surface preparation for bare, weathered or previously finished wood varies. Always follow the instructions provided by the coating manufacturer. Also note that during the application of the finish, give particular care to the ends of the wood parts and any joints. Service Policy GardenWood Furniture will replace, free of charge, any piece that is missing or defective at the time of purchase. Parts can not be replaced for damage as a result of commercial use, lack of reasonable care, acts of nature or natural aging.
