To ensure the best results, all veneers for a project should be ordered at the same time and use the same coating and processing systems. UV resistance Amerind Metro Recon Veneers are manufactured using superior dyes that are resistant to UV rays. Just as natural timber veneers will tend to change colour in the presence of light, Amerind Metro Recon Veneers may also be affected. This is part of a natural process and not a defect in the veneers chosen. Where veneers are exposed to strong light sources and sunlight, particularly in a project with north facing windows, it is advisable to install blinds or have UV protective film applied. Where Amerind Metro Veneers are specified, it s imperative that a non yellowing acrylic urethane such as B.C. Coatings UT160 UVMax or a polyurethane such as Mirotone Sunshield Clear PU5577 are used to help minimise colour changes over time.

7 Specifying Amerind Metro Recon Veneers Here are our top tips to help you specify and get the Amerind Metro Recon Veneer you want for your project. 1 Choose a veneer Make an initial selection from Amerind Metro or collections. 2 Speak to your Amerind Account Manager Contact your Amerind Account Manager for a sample. 3 Choose the grain direction Will the grain of the veneer run vertically or horizontally? This may affect the cost due to wastage. 4 Select the substrate Standard Particleboard Moisture Resistant Particleboard Standard MDF Moisture Resistant MDF Plywood E0 and FSC approved MDF and Plywood 1.5mm Veneer Ply is also available for applications requiring bending 5 Specify the panel dimensions Length, width and thickness? 6 Select the type of edging Is the edging unfinished veneer for panels or ABS for? 7 Advise quantity and timing How many panels and when do you need them on site? 8 Give delivery details Where do you want the panels delivered and to whom? 9 Recommended panel layup For all Amerind Metro applications it is recommended to specify G2S (Good two Sides) or BAMO (Back at Manufacturers Option) where first grade specified veneer is used on the face and any other veneer is used on the back.
