2 Why Health Literacy? A brief note to parents, teachers and caregivers Health literacy plays a crucial role in child s overall health, for them to be physically active. Being active at the early age is important for child s growing body to stay healthy. Staying active enhances the health of children and reduce their chances of developing obesity and other health issues. The advantage of writing about this game in a procedural format was that the characters and name of this game is inspired from a science fiction franchise Star Wars, which is popular among children. This game will help children to use their imagination with the guidelines of the game to create a fictitious environment and have fun reading this book. Children grasp and preserve information more efficiently when it is represented in graphical and attractive form.

3 Before you start the game, all the players have to become different characters of star wars game. You will need 6-11 people to play this game. Select the players from the below given characters. Darth Vader Stormtrooper Luke Skywalker Chewbaccok R2-D2 3CPO 1

4 Imagine this as your play area in space 2

5 Select one player to be Darth Vader, who is it Select two players as Stormtroopers who will help Darth Vader These 3 players stand across middle of play area 3

6 Group A Divide remaining 4 players into 2 groups (Group A & ) These groups stand side by side and both groups can have same characters 4

7 Group A This is how your play area is arranged. Group A and group B stand side by side at one end facing it group, who stands across middle of play area 5

8 Select an area just outside the play area as the trash compactor Players must stay inside the boundaries of play area or they automatically go to trash compactor Trash Compacter 6

9 Group A Player who is selected as Darth Vader calls out one group at a time Group A 7

10 When Darth Vader calls out group A, this group has to run across the play area to the other side, without being tagged by Darth Vader and his helpers (Stromtroopers) 8

11 When players are running across the field, they need to change directions quickly or pretend to move in one way but go in other direction, to avoid being tagged by Darth Vader and his helpers 9

12 When players reach the other side of the play area without being tagged by Darth Vader or his helpers, they go back to the start area to play again 10

13 Players who are in it group must tag the other player lightly. Tagged player must go to the trash compacter and sit out for a round to complete a task Trash Compacter 11

14 While sitting out for a round in trash compacter, player must perform various tasks such as: jumping jacks, hopping, push-ups, sit-ups, long jumps. I am hopping Group A 12

15 Darth Vader and Stormtroopers must go back to centre each time before calling another group or restarting the game. Group A 13
