3 Letter from the editor This magazine is about information, gameplay, and what the games era or the age of time that the games time takes place in and this magazine will be somewhat similar to the magazines that gamers will know of what is known as the Game informers it is like mine but mine is replica of it but not a complete replica of it but it will tell you about upcoming games and games that have already came out and information people about them and getting them to buy them to buying the games or getting them to merchandise like other games that are related to the game like the other games of the series cause some people will love the games and want to buy more of the series so they will have more people liking the series and getting more money like in this picture is one of the hit series Halo the series is made by Bungie and 343 Industry but now Bungie left to go work on other games and 343 took over and will be making the rest of the halo games and you can learn more about the halo series in the magazine. This magazine is good for people that are gamers if they want to figure out information about games from their favorite series about upcoming games or down loadable content for their favorite games or about other games that they might buy or games that there friends recommended to them or to you the reader of this magazine but if you are reading this I could not have done this without the help of the people that helped or wrote information for this magazine because it would have taken forever just to finish this one magazine cause I would have to write everything by myself cause it toke along time just to write this up cause there are a lot of people talking right now so it is distracting me so it is taking a long time to write this but I recommend this to any gamers to check out this magazine out cause then you can find out about new games and check on when the games will be coming out so then all those gamers out there I HOPE YOU CHECK THIS MAGAZINE OUT!! Another thing that I love about your magazine is that it also taught me about other games that I did not know were around and also more about games that are already out. 7 1-2 Column Article Halo is an Xbox-Xbox 360 game so it can only be played on one of the two consoles they have a massive multiplayer so the halos are very popular because of its story line with the chief and its aliens vs humans it is a great genre because the campaign is one of the most favorite game types cause because it all has a huge story line of the chief because he is like the only Spartan left in the universe but in the most resent halo master chief finds a crashed ship and it has a lot of marines and other people on it training new Spartans so that there are new and more soldiers on the battlefield so that they can hold back the covenant so that they don t eliminate every human on the ship otherwise there would be no other Spartans left at all. But the whole storyline is except for three games that are not based off of master chiefs life of executing the covenant and also in halo 4 a new enemy is introduced and they are called the forerunners and they are a powerful enemy that can teleport around and have very deadly weapons that would disintegrate in to a whole bunch a evaporated cells and in the first halo the elites and every covenant hated the humans and it was a huge war between them and it went on forever until the third halo they became allies for a while so then they would take out the brutes and the other enemy s cause they were going to get rid of the elites for good then they teamed up and toke the brutes and the others and toke their rightful places back. There is also another enemy called the flood they are basically zombies but they can take over ships and also control ships and take over other life forms and transform them in to flood that are like zombies but they can pick up weapons. Flood is a major enemy and is also a major part of halo because otherwise there would be no other enemy besides the covenant. And then in halo 4 there is only forerunners and covenant. But otherwise I think that the halo series is really fun series and have a great campaign. Zach Wahlfeld

8 In Halo Reach the time of this was before the first Halo but was one of the late games made. But basically in this game you are a new Spartan and is part of Noble Team and your job is to defeat the covenant and save Reach. Once the covenant first invaded Reach ONI basically the command of the UNSC(United Nations Space Command) order all the Spartans to go and fight and try to save Reach but since the Covenant had more forces they overran the Spartans and defeated them one by one. All Spartans were eliminated except for Spartan 117 John A.K.A Master Chief. They shipped Master Chief on the Pillar of Autumn before the covenant can stop them. Every Spartan fought till they were at their end of their energy they never gave up and they never ever thought they were going to lose. They tried as hard as they can for as long as they can. In the first mission of Halo Reach the UNSC sent Noble Team to investigate a death. That is when they figured out that the Covenant was on Reach. That is why they called for all the Spartans so they won t lose reach. Noble team had six members. Noble one was Carter the Leader. Noble two was Kat the second in command. Noble three was Jun the Sharpshooter. Noble four was Emile the Close Quarters Combat Specialist. Noble five was Jorge the Heavy Weapons Specialist. And you were Noble Six the Rookie. In Reach you go on missions you didn t see in Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 3 ODST. Halo Reach was the last Halo Bungie made. Bungie left the production and the rights to 343 Industries which made Halo 4. In this campaign you end up flying ships fighting in space driving warthogs and encountering the worst covenant vehicle of all you will not be happy to see it and it may also be the death of a Noble Team member. ONI is in trouble you go to their swordbase about 3 times in the campaign and you see Dr. Halsey and rescue her. You may have to carry an A.I. and deliver it to the Pillar of Autumn and keep it safe or it can be the death of the UNSC. Spartans were invented and invested by Dr. Halsey. She started to make Spartans to first fight the inzurrectionists not to fight the covenant but when the covenant came they prevailed and maybe they can save Reach. Halo Reach has a stunning campaign that all Halo fans will enjoy and can be a huge success for 343 and Bungie and hopefully give them ideas for Halo 4 and keep some stuff or get rid of them but lets hope they continue Halo. 9 Frontline force Frontline Force is a game that is about you control tanks and you must defend against enemy tanks that are trying to take over your land and rule the world and you must stop them by buying upgrades at the shop and to get money you must complete campaign levels or endless survival. 10 The Brothers in Arm s series of video games for the X-BOX platform really interested me and the story line drew me in. There are three games in the series for X-box. Road to Hill 30, Earned in Blood, and Hell s Highway. The setting for the story line is Europe during World War II. It closely follows the paratroopers of the 101 st Airborne Division during this extremely important and dangerous campaign of stopping the Nazi invasion and takeover of Europe. The first game in the series, Road to Hill 30 opens with the paratroopers dropping into Normandy behind enemy lines. Being the first in the series, this is when the cast of characters are slowly introduced. This game is considered a first person shooter, and you start the game as character Sgt. Matt Baker. You must find your squad, which is scattered across the countryside after the mass parachute drop. After finding most of your squad while fighting Nazi s off in the process, you must lead your squad to its first mission. The final two games in the series follow the advancement of our band of brothers through Europe, kicking Nazi tail as they go. Even though you do lose some main characters in the first game, Once you get into the second and third game in the series, you are really attached to these soldiers. It is kind of sad to see certain characters get killed off. I really enjoyed this series. The only negative point I really have is the lack of save points. You could realistically spend an hour trying to get through a level and die and have to do it all over again. It did however provide many hours of game play for this middle age gamer. I m certain my boys would have finished the games in half the time That I did, but I don t let them play it. So in my mind I am awesome at this game, and no one is better! Ha ha! Review by Erick Wahlfeld The game play I think is really cool, because you get to command 3-man AI Squads throughout the battlefield. As you start to get to know the cast of characters, this is when you really start to get drawn into the very interesting storyline. There are many cut-scenes that help explain the goings on and help introduce the cast.

User 2: The reason I love this games is because of the multiplayer it s a little bit tricky but once you get the hang of it is really fun.

12 Video games are a part of life that I understand heck, I love video games. Every time that I get home in some way I play video games. Whether I play on my Xbox or I play on the computer in some way I enjoy a video game from time to time. All of the time I feel like something that I didn t do hangs over my head, but all I really want to do is play a video game. Most people want to just have fun and not work but the truth is that sometimes we all need to unwind. My favorite video game to play is Call of Duty Black ops 2. Some of my favorite things to do on COD BO2 is Zombies. In Zombies the best gun most people think is the ray gun but actually the best gun is the DSR50 pack a punch Iron sights. The ray gun is shown not to have one shot one kill at round 30 or so but the DSR is shown to get kills at round 39 most people when they play call of duty zombies really hope for the ray gun. Me and some of my friends we don t really hope for the ray gun we hope for better other guns. Me and they really hope for the guns like the LMG s and the good rifles. What I usually do on zombies is hit the box until I get a gun that I can use. The guns I prefer on any round go as follows by tier. Tier 4- Shotguns,Kap 40, Barrett, M-Tar, and the Chicom. Tier 3 guns that I can use but prefer not to use-executioner, Python, Galil, Five Seven, Five Seven Dual Wield. Tier 2 Guns, Guns I like to use and try to get- HAMR and the RPD. Tier 1- Ray gun and the DSR-50. What my strategy for zombies if I am playing with friends is Pack a Punch- Perks- Choice Guns. My second favorite thing in CODBO2 is multiplayer. The best game mode in Multiplayer is Search and Destroy. The Best class for search and destroy is a silenced Remington laser sight. Secondary is DSR50 laser. The best perks are Flak Jacket- Coldblooded-Extreme Conditioning. The only wildcard that you need is the Over Kill which enables you to have a primary as your secondary. The only ways to win in search and destroy is to either eliminate all opponents or to plan the bomb/ if the bomb has been planted then the only way to win is to defuse the bomb. What I do in search and destroy is rush or snipe I usually go about 5 kills and 3-4 deaths what I do is stealth approach. And come from a hidden position to win the game. My second favorite game mode is domination in domination what I do is I dot get the objectives but I stay and defend from a different angle that is where I usually use a silencer and am hidden. One thing that I do that is pretty cool is that I glitch the game so that I am hidden even more I don t hack the game what I do is I get the game to work to my advantage from the mistakes that the programmers didn t fix. Me and my friends play video games a lot and one thing that really changed the game for me is being able to talk to my friends when I am online. Me and my friends kick other people s but when we play together. What I hope is that eventually when we play video games we will be able to see and game with our friends whether it is when we play together or just play and want to talk. When I play video games I think that the things that don t seem so important are immensely important.

14 Secret of the Pterodactyl There once was a group of soldiers that were stranded on a planet that was inherited by a very weird species of talking plants. The team was made up of five soldiers that got super powers whenever they killed one of these weird monsters one of the soldiers got to get a giant force field around him that let him take less damage. The team tried to get a signal from HQ but there is no way to get a signal because the plant monsters keep jamming them so the only way they can escape is if they work together to kill the plants but two of the five never listen to each other they always argue. So the team captain John Falmern aka Titan told the team that one of them had to leave the team in order to complete their mission Rex a rookie on the space team (that s their sector) volunteered to leave May you find your way back home says the Captain and they leave him. Hours later they found a shattered huge piece of metal that was sticking into the ground with blue gas surrounding it. Samuel Dergous second in command ask permission to bring some of his men to search it but they all went together. Once they got inside the weird structure one of the troopers went to a interesting control panel. What is this? asks the trooper that s when John commander of this expedition relies what they re in. We are in the mother ship of a legend he says as he brushes dust off the name. Who s that? asks the crew. His name was Cyclops a great leader of District Space. This was his ship. He named it the pterodactyl. I remember the stories about this ship but I never thought I would see it for myself. What happened to you how did you crash? Commander I found something said a trooper. What is it the team found themselves looking into a weird box with no key hole but it was lock shut. What s in it? asks one trooper We will find out says John You to go get some explosives we will blow it open so the team went and got some dynamite and blew up the weird metal box. What s inside what s inside? says the crew as they jump up in excitement. It s a scroll Says the commander (John) What does it say It does not say I don t think we ll never know hey we get connection let s call for help you two put that scroll in this container were going home.

16 Civilization 5 is a strategy / turn-based game. How to Play: Pick your Player. Found your city. Produce units and expansions to your city with your It. Discovering technology- Upgrading expansions to your city will up your science points per turn. Use science points to discover tech faster. Once you discover tech you unlock buildings, units, and abilities. Building cities- Build a settler with a city. Then move it to your wanted space and click found city. Expansions and Units- Some expansions and units require maintenance of gold per turn Victories- There are four kinds of victories science, cultural, diplomatic, and military. For science victory you have to build a spaceship and go to space. Happiness and Faith- You have to keep your happiness up with building expansions the city wants also discovering luxury items. Your happiness will go down if you go to war. With happiness you can get more perks. With faith you can get a Great Prophet and found a Religion. 17 There are many types of video games out there. Lets start with some basic ones like Halo 4, Minecraft, Call of Duty Black ops 2, Call of Duty, MW3, Madden 25 and lots more. Lets tell you about what some of the games are about. First Halo 4: Halo 4 is about this guy who is a soldier in the future and there ship was attacked by the covenant. He wakes up from a deep sleep and the ship is going to crash into a planet filled with the covenant. You have to fight through them and complete missions and go to checkpoints throughout the way. You have a hologram person named cortana and she tells you which way to go. But further in the game she starts to break down and corrupt. Second Minecraft: Minecraft is a game made out of blocks. And you are a person named Steve. You have to make shelter and weapons and fight mobs. There is day and night. At night monsters come out and if they see you they will try to kill you and make you lose all your stuff. The types of mobs are zombies, skeletons, spiders, creepers, and endermen. The types of animals are cows, pigs, sheep, and wolves. There are NPC s which are non playable characters. They live in villages spread across the world. Third Call of Duty Black ops 2: Its a game where you play as a navy seal and kill enemies and save hostages. There are three different ways to play one is campaign the second is multiplayer and third is zombies. Campaign is where you do missions and kill enemy forces. You can shoot down enemy helicopters with missile launchers and can send bomb strikes and more. Multiplayer is where you can fight each other or you can have enemy bots and kills them. You can set a score and time limit. You have to play the campaign first to play multiplayer. Third are zombies. Zombies is where you are in a map and zombies try to kill you. You get points when you kill zombies. You can buy better weapons to fight off the zombies. There are rounds and every round gets harder as you go on. You can pack a punch your weapons which make them stronger and faster. There is a mystery box somewhere around the map. The mystery box gives you random weapons. But when you are waiting for the weapon zombies still can kill you. You can play with your friends and see how long you can survive.
