1 DiADIC VOLUME 2, ISSUE 2 SUMMER 2016 A Note from Vicki Dear DIADIC participants, We now have about 70 couples who have enrolled in the study in Pittsburgh, and another 75 couples who have enrolled in the study in our partner site, University of Utah. Ages have ranged from 25 to 80, which is exactly what we were hoping for. We wanted to sample people across the lifespan. In fact, we now have plenty of young women (under 45) in our study but are still looking for men of all ages and women over the age of 45. If you know of anyone who you think might be interested, please have them contact us. We were at Tour de Cure last weekend and will be attending the ADA diabetes picnic described in this newsletter. We put together a sampling of summer movies in case you are looking for some indoor entertainment during the summer heat. War Dogs (R) Release date: August 19, 2016 Stars Jonah Hill, Miles Teller, Ana de Armas "War Dogs" follows two friends living in Miami Beach during the Iraq War who exploit a little-known government initiative that allows small businesses to bid on U.S. Military contracts. Starting small, they begin raking in big money and are living the high life. But the pair gets in over their heads when they land a 300 million dollar deal to arm the Afghan Military--a deal that puts them in business with some very shady people, not the least of which turns out to be the U.S. Government.
