Welcome to the Yageo Chip Resistor training module. This module will provide an overview of chip resistor introduction, including single chip, array, network for both general use and automotive grade.

This module will provide an overview of chip resistor introduction, including single chip, array, network for both general use and automotive grade. Also, chip resistors with special functions: anti-fos, anti-surge, high voltage are included. The product range and applications of current sense resistors is another focus of this training module. Furthermore, an explanation of Yageo s part numbering scheme will be presented. 2

Yage offers Chip Resistor Decision Tree to assist customers to choose the appropriate products for your applications. You can choose based on the resistance value: 1.

Metal plate technology PA and Metal foil technology - PE series (wide terminal available), PS series (4 terminal) and Shunt resistor PU series. 2.

Automotive grade - AC/AF/AA series, both are thick film chip resistors. Precision types - RE/RT/AT series, RE series is basd on thick film technology, with tolerance & TCR down to 0.

3 Yage offers Chip Resistor Decision Tree to assist customers to choose the appropriate products for your applications. You can choose based on the resistance value: 1. Resistance <1 ohm, it is called current sensor, with different termination / product shapes. Technology/Termination: Thick film- RL & PT series. Metal plate technology PA and Metal foil technology - PE series (wide terminal available), PS series (4 terminal) and Shunt resistor PU series. 2. Resistance>1ohm, with different tolerance / special features General purpose - RC series, thick film chip resistor. Automotive grade - AC/AF/AA series, both are thick film chip resistors. Precision types - RE/RT/AT series, RE series is basd on thick film technology, with tolerance & TCR down to 0.5% & 50ppm/ C RT & AT series are based on thin film technology, and AT series is also suitable for automotive applications. Special features - Surge resistor (SR series); High Voltage resistors (RV series) and Anti-FOS resistors, (AF series).
