18 Accessories Remote Controls and Accessories Ashly Remote for ipad is available as a free download from the Apple itunes App Store. Ashly's "Network Remotes" all communicate via Ethernet over a single CAT-5 cable. When a facility requires occasional live mixing, use the FR-8 or FR-16 Network Fader Remotes for remote level control over a CAT-5 cable. The FR-8 & FR-16 remotes can be wall mounted using standard North American electrical boxes, or can be used as portable table-top units. The FR-8 & FR-16 Network Remotes can provide mixing functions with Master Volume, as well as A/B Source Select and signal monitoring. All Ashly "Network Remotes" are powered via Power-Over-Ethernet (PoE). For a power source use a PoE Router, PoE Switch, or PoE Injector such as the Ashly RPOE-1 below. (A PoE Injector is not included with Ashly remotes.) newr-5 is a programmable Decora style wall remote with six assignable momentary buttons, Up/Down curser, and 14 segment LED display. Use the newr-5 as an intuitive and simple to operate controller to recall system presets, select sources, and adjust sound level. The standard WR-5 offers the same control functions as the newr-5 via a serial connection, and provides a lower cost "hardwired" solution. The WR-1, WR-1.5, & WR-2 all provide simple "hardwired" analog control of Ashly Network-Enabled Power Amplifiers and DSP Processors. Network Remotes newr-5 Networkable zone control wallplate, PoE (Decora style) RPOE-1 Power Over Ethernet Injector Provides Power Over Ethernet (PoE) for the newr-5, FR-8, and FR-16 networked remotes. The PoE standard (IEEE 802.3af) is designed to transmit data and power to devices over a single wired network connection. It is inserted between the Ethernet switch and the remote device. If the network switch already provides PoE on the port used for the remote device, then no PoE injector is necessary. However if there is no PoE available, a PoE injector can provide power to the remote control device while still using the non-poe switch.
