4 THE PERFECT ENERGY SAVING SOLUTION FOR OPEN AREAS & RACKING AISLES IN DISTRIBUTION CENTRES REDUCED INSTALLED LOAD In the past ten years we have worked extensively in the logistics market. We have replaced traditional Low Bay luminaires with SON or mercury lamps, often consuming up to 435 watts per luminaire. (A 400 W SON lamp typically costs over 1.00 to run for 24 hours). Our T5 fluorescent range of racking luminaires typically consumed 165 watts per point. We have now launched our high performance LED product; we have reduced comparable consumption down to a mere 83 watts! REDUCED OPERATING LOAD Generally Hi-Max luminaires can be installed on a one-for-one replacement basis, using the existing wiring, with integral emergency facility where required. Our LED luminaires are ideally suited to Hi-Lo operation. When the aisle/area is unoccupied the luminaires remain at 10% light level so that the aisle/area is always illuminated to eliminate the black hole effect of unlit aisles. When the operator enters the aisle, the presence detector (mounted in the luminaire) turns the luminaire on to full output. Once the operator leaves the area, after approximately three minutes, the luminaire returns to 10% light output. These parameters are all settable with the Wireless programming tool. Unoccupied aisle with 10% output level Occupied aisle with 100% output level DAYLIGHT SAVING The luminaires (with controls) can also enable daylight regulation, so that the luminaires dim down when daylight is present, saving even more energy. REDUCED MAINTENANCE Our new LED Hi-Max luminaires have exceedingly long life expectancy to reduce maintenance costs. WIRELESS CONTROLS Our extensive range of wireless controls can provide further features that include full energy monitoring and emergency testing and reporting. 4

5 CHANNELLED CONVECTION The one-piece aluminium die-cast housing allows heat to flow to all areas, creating one large continuous heat-sink. The radial fins act to accelerate natural convection, pulling cooler air from below and reducing the housing temperature resulting in higher lumen output per Watt and longer LED and control gear life. LIGHT DISTRIBUTION The Hi-Max lens is available with two light distributions, tailoring the distribution to specific installation types. For example, the focus may be on providing a low quantity of luminaires to evenly illuminate a large open space, or a highly energy efficient luminaire to put light on the face of very high racking. The Twin Spot units feature a novel lens system offering fine optical control resulting in high intensity beam patterns to ensure effective area illumination. BUILDING REGULATIONS: PART L2 Our products fully meet the minimum requirements of Part L2 of the Building Regulations. In fact, they far exceed them. 23 WARRANTY We offer a 5 year warranty* for our Hi-Max luminaires (Please see our website for conditions and registration.) We have special thermal management within the luminaire and as a result the ballast life should exceed 100,000 hours. Additionally, the luminaires have a high temperature cut-off within the ballast, should internal temperatures occasionally rise above those expected. * Does not include batteries WIRED LIGHTING CONTROLS Our experience with lighting controls means we can offer luminaires with integral controls for a point replacement or, we can use our networked based control system that can link to most BMS systems for energy data capture and programmability.
