Nanyang 22/86/99 Technological 17:85 University Pq: Library3^3 Synopsis Presentation to the AMIC's conference in Madras 1-3 July, 1999 The Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC), this year with the theme "Asia Information Poor to Information Rich - Strategies for the 21 s1 Century", has invited EUTELSAT to make a presentation on the topic: with the mentioning: "Satellite Communication Services in the 2l" Century", "As power, capacity, and capability of satellite communication expand, what new applications and services can it offer? How can broadcasting and new media capitalise on satellite communication for enhanced services to their customers?" The pitch of the presentation will therefore be aimed at the possibilities opening up by the new satellite capabilities, e.g. via EUTELSAT, to the Asian markets.
