11 AT&T invested nearly $325 million in Oregon, including Portland, between In 2012, AT&T upgraded its network in the City of Portland to the latest 4G technology, known as LTE (Long Term Evolution), providing data speeds up to 10x faster than 3G technology. Nationally, AT&T plans to invest $14 billion to upgrade its networks, including its wireless network to expand coverage and capacity to keep up with demand.

14 38.2% of Oregon households are wireless-only, 14.5% are wireless mostly, and another 15.5% are dual use. Nearly 70% of Oregon households clearly depend on wireless devices for communications. Many households that retain a landline don t actually use it.
