7 Energy Resolution -----Better than 1meV The following data was obtained by Prof. Dr. Akira Sekiyama and Prof. Dr. Takayuki Kiss at Osaka University, Japan. The system consists of MBS A1 (#0014) with newly developed narrow band UV laser system as excitation. Fig. a (Left) Ultrahigh-resolution (< 1 mev) photoemission spectra of gold at hν = 5.9 ev. (Right) Temperature dependence of the spectra for Nb across a superconducting transition at ~9 K with the energy resolution of 1.1 mev. The following data (fig.b) was obtained by Dr. Seigo Souma at Tohoku University, Japan. The system consists of MBS A1 (#0010) with mini Mott type spin option, MBS T1 multi gas light source, in this case using Xenon gas excitation. Page7
