11 Quality & Protection OPTICALLY CORRECT All lenses provide the wearer with distortion-free vision. SUNGLASSES WITH 100 % UV PROTECTION 100 % protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays - filters out harmful short-wave blue components of visible light. STANDARDS Sunglasses from Filtral bear the CE mark showing that the EU Directives have been fulfilled. The sunglasses fulfil the European standard DIN EN ISO : ; the Filtral reading glasses are based on the standard DIN EN 14139: CLEAR SIGHT WITHOUT DISTORTION Filtral Sunglasses and reading glasses, regardless of the material from which the lens are made, possess a high surface quality, which does not have streaks, specks or air bubbles. This test proves it: if you hold the glasses approx cm in front of your eyes and focus on a straight line, perception is true to reality SCRATCH-RESISTANCE Thanks to sealing with hard lacquer, the scratch-resistance is substantially increased and the lenses remain transparent longer. ADJUSTABLE NOSE PADS For metal glasses ensure high comfort. STRENGTH The lenses achieve class 1 of increased strength, do not splinter and are securely anchored in the frame. OC-LIGHT LENS SUNGLASSES The thin and noticeably lighter lenses offer great comfort, without pressure on the nose UVA RADIATION (315 nm nm) Rays of this wavelength tan the skin, but also lead to premature aging of the skin and to an impairment of the eyesight. UVB RADIATION (280 nm nm) Rays of this wavelength cause sunburn and damage theeye UVC RADIATION (up to 280 nm) Extremely short wavelengths that do not penetrate the earth s atmosphere VIOLET/BLUE LIGHT (380 nm nm) Rays of this wavelength act like UVA rays, but reach the spectrum of visible light. Therefore, Filtral sunglasses filter out the harmful short-wave blue part and maintain the spectrum range necessary for correct colour reproduction. GREEN AND RED LIGHT (500 nm nm) Rays in the green and red spectrum do not pose a risk to health.
