These lens products are typically under US Government ITAR control and the specifications are not listed in the lens catalog in order to comply with ITAR regulations. With modification, these lenses can be utilized for non-military applications. Information regarding location and end use will be required for these lenses to facilitate these types of modifications. We make use of all common IR materials for fabrication including Germanium, Silicon, Zinc Selenide, Zinc Sulfide (IR & multispectral), Calcium Fluoride and Chalcogenide materials, such as AMTIR and IG materials. In addition to fabricating a complete range of optical elements, including refractive,reflective, and diffractive components, we excel in complex lens assemblies for both MWIR and LWIR. These include 1-FOV, 2-FOV and 3-FOV configurations. Our strength in motorized continuous zoom lens systems for MWIR and LWIR is noted by customers in defense and commercial surveillance uses. These products use pulse width modulation with PID loop closed loop control to drive motors for FOV and focus control. 4 3About Ophir RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Our R&D engineers design and develop lens assemblies utilizing state-ofthe-art design tools while constantly improving manufacturing techniques. OPTICAL COATING We use a wide-range of coating techniques, including thermal evaporation (resistance heating and electron-gun coating), plasma-assisted chemical-vapor deposition and sputtering. Our highly abrasion-resistant AR coatings include several types of hard carbon coatings which provide maximum durability, maximum energy transmission and extremely low reflection. CNC POLISHING Our CNC polishing methods produce optical components including spherical elements, windows, domes, prisms and mirrors from all known raw materials in the IR spectrum. LENS ASSEMBLY Our lenses are designed to satisfy the most stringent optical, mechanical and environmental performance specifications, using the minimum number of optical elements. Our lens assembly capability offers unique and highly-effective solutions for a wide variety of lens-assembly projects. DIAMOND TURNING We utilize the most advanced diamond-turning and fly-cutting machines. The high quality of our UAV optical elements and lens Fire control assemblies is essential for the TWS zero-fault tolerance associated with the defense industry. Our many years of experience with defense standards enable us to make sure our products meet these unforgiving requirements. Our design and manufacturing techniques result in solutions that solve the latest SWaP-C requirements. Our lenses are used worldwide for infrared observation systems, airborne systems, UAV applications, DVE systems and targeting systems, such as TWS and firecontrol systems. Our unique design and patents for manufacturing aspheric elements by diamond turning enable us to manufacture lens systems that are more efficient with fewer elements. The result is a system that weighs less, performs better and is more suitable for UAV as well as handheld applications.

6 5About Ophir COMMERCIAL Lenses for: With our full in-house Automotive optical capabilities, Ophir Fire Fighters is well positioned to serve Thermography the commercial FLIR and thermography (radiometric) Marine lens markets. We offer Medical our customers optical and mechanical design, component fabrication, precision diamond turning, thin-film coating and final assembly for optical turnkey solutions. Our patents for manufacturing elements with two aspheric surfaces (using diamondturning technology) is essential in supplying low-cost, high-quality, low-weight lenses needed for firefighter and thermography-ir handheld cameras. Ophir lenses are essential components for infrared camera manufacturers for their rescue systems, maintenance systems, EVS and automotive night vision systems. SECURITY Lenses for: Ophir provides a wide range Homeland Security of infrared optical solutions Border Patrol for homeland security, facility surveillance, and Surveillance asset protection systems. For border patrol and surveillance applications, we offer a selection of off-the-shelf lenses for a variety of detector formats, including the latest 10μm-pixel pitch. For law enforcement we offer a light-weight lenses especially fitted for handheld applications or UAV optical payloads. For site security applications, we offer manual, motorized and athermal lenses. We also provide lenses for uncooled cameras down to 12μm-pixel pitch, as well as lenses for cooled cameras down to 10μm-pixel pitch. All of our lenses can be ordered with a hard carbon coating suitable for outdoor and marine applications.

7 6 Field-of-view matrix For your convenience, each Lens Data Sheet includes a Field of View Matrix containing the Horizontal Fields of View (HFOV), in degrees, for several common detectors. Criteria of minimal MTF and Relative Illumination have been set, as follows. HFOV values will appear in the matrix only for detectors which meet this criterion.
