8 Product and package coding Product and package coding includes a wide range of inkjet systems for every purpose, coders for stamp-based coding, and spray systems for coding defects. This area includes systems for both stationary installation and mobile usage. In contrast to other cartridge systems, the printing head and control unit are integrated in one device. A range of our own developed inks allow for the coding of absorbent surfaces (cardboard) and non-absorbent surfaces (plastic, metal). 20 IJ355, IJ375 Direct printing instead of labels: High- Res with 70mm printing height The IJ355 and IJ375 are very high resolution inkjet printers for the direct and large-surface coding of cardboard packages. They offer razor-sharp image quality, low printing costs, the highest flexibility in the printing design and maximum barcode legibility, even on very fibrous cardboard packaging. Developed by the inventor of the InkJet: LINX. The systems replace every existing labelling solution as well as pre-printed cardboard packaging. A 53 mm or 70 mm printing height is possible, depending on the device type, and enable more than 70% cost-savings as opposed to labels. 20

30 Interval printer As opposed to the inkjet, interval printers apply the printed image by direct product contact in the stamping process. These systems can process a wide variety of inks and are thus suited for strongly pigmented ink such as white or yellow and very highly absorbent subsurfaces. Telos printing plates can be used to change texts quickly. 30

31 CODER DOD - QM Series The QM 7500 and the QM 1610 are using the well-established and reliable DOD technology. They are extremely reliable machines, offering prints at a good value-for-money. The QM7500 is a one-line printer while the QM1610 offers 2 lines of print. Via their replaceable print heads, they can be adapted to different print heights. They are being controlled via a real keyboard, again emphasizing the focus on a long printer life. 31

32 Sprayjet Reliable point and line markings The Sprayjet is an extremely efficient system especially for the coding of defects and for quality assurance. The system sprays a coloured point or line onto the passing material. Since nearly any desired ink can be used, colour application independent of the material is possible. The marking is triggered by a solenoid valve (24 volt signal) or completely pneumatically (Ex-zone). This guarantees very high functional reliability. 32
