With advancements in technology, modern contact lenses offer unrivalled freedom for spectacle wearers. At T H Collison, our skilled Opticians have many years of experience when it comes to finding the right lens to suit not only your eyes, but also your lifestyle and budget. In partnership with CooperVision one of the World s leading manufacturers of contact lens systems our Diamond Package will ensure you receive the very highest standards of eye care and exceptional customer service. With one fully inclusive monthly Direct Debit payment, you ll also enjoy the following exclusive benefits: Free trial on CooperVision products Free delivery of lenses/solutions 10% discount on spectacles on sign up Priority trial of new products Free replacement of broken or lost lenses Try our Diamond Package today and see how CooperVision contact lenses can change your life.
Types of Lenses Soft Lenses With water content between 38% and 75%, Soft Lenses offer extreme comfort and flexibility and require the minimum of adaptation. This allows them to be worn intermittently as an alternative to spectacles. They are also an excellent choice of lens when playing active sport. This all-round performance makes them by far the most popular type of contact lens. Silicone Hydrogel Lenses The ultimate in contact lens technology. Silicone Hydrogel Lenses keep your eyes healthier, whiter and more comfortable, even with long wearing times. Made from materials that allow approximately six times more oxygen to reach the eye than an ordinary soft lens, these lenses may be prescribed for daily wear or sometimes for overnight use, with up to 30 nights of continuous wear. Our Opticians will be able to advise you as to whether your eyes are suitable for this type of lens.
Frequently asked questions I ve been advised that I m unsuitable for Contact Lenses Contact Lens technology is rapidly advancing and CooperVision is at the cutting edge of lens development. The Diamond Package offers a completely free, no obligation trial * of CooperVision lenses. Even if you ve previously been advised that you re unsuitable for lenses, there s every possibility that there are now lenses available that are right for you. I can t wear lenses as I have astigmatism. This is a common condition relating to the shape of the eye. Usually your eyeball is more or less spherical in shape. Astigmatism means your eyeball is shaped more like a rugby ball. This condition can make contact lens fitting a little complicated. However, with the Diamond Package and CooperVision s modern technology, astigmatic patients can usually be fitted with special Toric Soft Lenses or Gas Permeable lenses. I can t wear lenses as my eyes are changing There is no reason why people whose eyes are changing should not wear contact lenses. Even if your prescription changes and you require frequent replacement lenses, there are no extra charges with the Diamond Package. I can t wear lenses as I get hay fever In some cases, wearing contact lenses can actually help to reduce eye irritation as the lenses protect eyes from pollen. However, if you suffer badly from hay fever then you simply wear glasses when the pollen count is high and wear contact lenses for the rest of the time. I m worried the lenses may get lost behind my eyes, or fall out if I play sports It is impossible for a contact lens to go behind your eye and well-fitted modern lenses are also highly unlikely to come out. Many people take part in very active sports whilst wearing contact lenses without any problems at all. Our Opticians will advise what lens is right for your lifestyle. I ll never get them in or out Putting lenses in and taking them out is easy to learn. Our skilled Opticians at T H Collison will provide you with all the support, guidance and tuition you need to ensure you re completely confident when handling your contact lenses. I m too old (or young) for contact lenses At T H Collison, we have enabled young children to benefit from the improved vision and confidence that contact lenses can bring, as well as ensure that many people over the age of 60 continue to enjoy wearing contact lenses. * A fitting fee will apply.
I can t wear contact lenses as I need biofocals If you only wear glasses for reading or wear biofocals, you can still have contact lenses. In fact, there are three different options available. Our experienced Opticians will be able to advise and guide you. The first and most common method is to have contact lenses to correct your distance vision and a pair of lightweight reading glasses to wear over the contact lenses. The second option is multifocal contact lenses which provide distance and near vision. With the advent of frequent replacement multifocal lenses, this type of correction is becoming increasingly popular. The third method is called monovision. This technique involves correcting one eye for distance vision, and the other for reading. After a short period of adaptation you will be unaware that your eyes are working independently. This is proving to be a very successful way of correcting distance and near vision without having to wear any glasses at all. Frequent replacement of contact lenses The most comfortable and safest way of wearing contact lenses is to replace them at regular intervals, as the gradual build up of deposits on a lens can cause irritation or discomfort to the eye and affect your vision. By replacing them after a short period of time, you prevent the lenses from becoming worn or contaminated with deposits from your tears. Wearing disposable lenses will provide you with the highest standards of comfort and vision at all times. The Diamond Package from T H Collison offers frequent replacement lenses as part of a fully inclusive fixed monthly payment scheme, as well as: Continuous supply of solutions Free replacement of lost or damaged lenses Unlimited aftercare appointments * No additional charges for check-ups or prescription changes * Diamond package free aftercare only applied to contact lenses.
How often should you replace your contact lenses? Diamond Package Monthly Replacement Removing your lenses overnight and replacing them every month provides the most cost effective way to wear soft contact lenses. You ll benefit from a regular supply of solutions and lenses, which only require minimal cleaning and care. Alternatively, advanced Silicon Hydrogel monthly lenses can be worn continuously for up to 30 days. Diamond Package Two weekly Replacement For marginally more than the cost of monthly replacement, this scheme will provide higher levels of comfort and vision. Diamond Package Weekly Replacement If you prefer to sleep in your lenses, this scheme will provide a fresh new pair of the latest Silicon Hydrogel lenses every week. Diamond Package Daily Replacement Wear them once and throw them away. Daily disposables are the ultimate in comfort, safety and convenience. Although not yet available to suit all prescriptions, CooperVision are at the cutting edge of continuous development. Diamond Package Aftercare Regular aftercare checkups are vital for the continued safe and comfortable wear of your contact lenses. At T H Collison, you can be sure of the highest standards of eye care from experienced Opticians. How much will contact lenses cost me? With the Diamond Package from T H Collison, your initial trial contact lenses are completely free of charge * and without any obligation. Should you decide to proceed with contact lenses, the following fully inclusive monthly charges will be payable by Direct Debit. Direct Debit scheme - from Save money on your glasses All Diamond Package customers are entitled to a special 10% discount on any complete new pairs of spectacles or sunglasses. * A fitting fee will apply.
