2 Tools Needed - 4 mm hook - Worsted weight yarn *Grey for body *ivory for tusks - Scissors - Large eye needle - 2 safety eyes - Stitch marker - Poly fiber fill Terminology MR- magic ring Slst Slip stitch SC single crochet SCD- Single crochet decrease BLO back loops only ST- stitch *to*- where you see the asterisk repeat from the first to the last, how ever many times it calls for. In this pattern it will be for the entire round. Fasten off - cut yarn and pull through last loop

3 Body (work in continuous rounds) MR, ch1 [Round 1] 6 sc into center of MR (6) [Round 2} 2 sc in each st (12) [Round 3] *sc in next st, 2 sc in next* repeat *to* around (18) [Round 4] *sc in next two st, 2 sc in next* repeat *to* around (24) [Round 5] *sc in next three st, 2 sc in next* repeat *to* around (30) **Stop here and place your eyes. Count up four rows from the center starting point, place eyes 5 stitches apart** [Round 6] *sc in next four st, 2 sc in next* repeat *to* around (36) [Round 7-21] Sc in each st around (36) Start stuffing here, stuff as you go. As the hole gets smaller, you can use a pencil, eraser side, to help stuff more fill into the body [Round 22] *sc in next four st, sc decrease in next* repeat *to* around (30) [Round 23] *sc in next three st, sc decrease in next* repeat *to* around (24) [Round 24] *sc in next 2 st, SC decrease in next* repeat *to* around (18) [Round 25] *sc in next st, sc decrease in next* repeat * to * around (12) [Round 26] sc decrease around (6) Fasten off, sew the hole closed.

4 Ear (make 2) Worked in rows Leave quite a long tail to sew onto body [Row 1] ch.10, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each across, ch.1, turn (9) [Row 2] 2 sc in first st, 1 sc in next 7 st, 2 sc in last st, ch.1 turn (11) [Row 3] sc in each st across, ch.1 and turn (11) [Row 4] 2 sc in first st, sc in next 9 st, 2 sc in last st, ch.1 and turn (13) [Row 5] Sc in each st across, ch.1 and turn (13) [Row 6] sc decrease, sc in next 9 st, sc decrease in last two st, ch.1 and turn (11) [Row 7] sc decrease, 1 sc in next 7 st, sc decrease in last two st, ch.1 and turn (9) [Row 8] Sc evenly around the ear, at your last st, ch.1 and slst into next st. Fasten off, weave in the end you just cut. Sew to body, make sure to sew shorter side

5 Trunk (work in continuous rounds) MR, ch.1 [Round 1] 6 sc into center of ring, pull the tail to close the ring [Round 2] in BLO sc in each st around (6) [Round 3] in BOTH loops, sc around (6) [Round 4] sc in next 5 st, 2 sc in next (7) [Round 5-6] Sc in each st (7) [Round 7] sc in next 6 st, 2 sc in next (8) [Round 8] sc around (8) [Round 9] sc in next 3 st, 2 sc in next {twice} (10) [Round 10-12] Sc in each st around (10) [Round 13] *sc in next st, 2 sc in next* repeat * to * around (15) [Round 14-15] sc in each st around. At the end of round 15, slst to next st. Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing. Lightly stuff the trunk. Draw the loose end up through the center of the truck and pull until the trunk curves up to your liking. Bring the yarn back down to secure the curve and sew trunk onto body. The top of the trunk should be placed right over the starting center of the body.

6 Tusk (make 2) Work in rows [Row 1] ch.5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. Ch.1 and turn(4) [Row 2] sc in each st, ch.1 and turn (4) [Row 3} Sc decrease in next 4 st, ch.1 turn. (2) [Row 4] sc in both st (2) [Row 5] sc decrease (1) Fold in half lengthwise, and sew along edge. Sew next to the trunk Leg (make 4, work in continuous rounds) MR, ch.1 [Round 1] 7 sc into center of ring, pull tail to close the loop [Round 2] 2 sc in each st (14) [Round 3] in BLO sc around (14) [Round 4-13] in BOTH loops, sc around (14) After round 13, fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing Stuff each leg, and sew to the body

7 Tail I cut 6 strands of yarn, about 5 long, weaved one portion of the yarn into the body, Placed over where you closed the end of your body. Braid the strands are left out. I tied a small knot at the end of the braid, and frayed the edges by running a needle through each strand. Trim it to your preferred length. Have any questions?
