1 Melinda s Fabric Shop June 2016 News Jan Shade Beach is an accomplished artist who works from her Made in the Shade studio in Alabama. Her designs appear on products ranging from full Christmas lines to party ware, greeting cards, gift wrap and more. Her Holiday Traditions collection starts with a trip to select a Christmas tree in a vintage red pickup truck, then adds traditional holiday images to celebrate that special time of the year. 2 Quilt measures 53 by 69 Many of you who are local will recall that Jan Shade Beach visited our guild a couple years ago, shortly after the huge success of her Holiday Frost fabric collection. By popular demand, that collection has been brought back in 2-ply flannel. It features traditional holiday images - reindeer, snowmen, tree ornaments, snowflakes and more -- in shades of gray with stunning red highlights, perfect for a Christmas project.

3 Fabri-Quilt s Golden Harvest collection celebrates the autumn harvest, with pumpkins, sunflowers, fall leaves and one very cool turkey panel -- all in shades of gold, rust and green. The quilt measures 62 1/2 by 74 1/2 and is perfect for a Thanksgiving project.

4 Cynthia Coulter s art is available as fine art prints and on a variety of home decor accessories. Her new Poppy Celebration collection offers a dramatic color story -- poppy red, black, cream, and a bit of yellowed green -- plus those beautiful flowers. This grouping even works for holiday projects without being Christmas-y.

5 Liz Goodrick Dillon has spent her life creating art that inspires. Her new Northern Lights collection for Quilting Treasures does just that, with polar bears under the northern sky. 6 Tana Mueller of Western Denim & Dirt looks to the goo ol days in her adorable Kountry Kiddos collection, with images from childhood in a simpler time. The collection includes a black-and-white book panel showing the kids flying a kite, building a snowman, fishing, baking cookies, taking a bath, racing, jumping rope and more. Make the book or cut it apart to make it into a quilt. Make this project special by having your kiddo color it. 7 Painting mostly in gouache and watercolor, Jennifer Brinley enjoys using vibrant warm colors. Her distinctive style has made her one of the most sought after artists in the home decor field. Her new Autumn Abundance collection celebrates the season with images of flowers and the harvest, plus elegant scrolls, paisley and plaid. The place mat kit at left makes a set of 4, 16 by 22. The quilt measures 61 by 67.
