3 Luxury is a complex simplicity Mariù de Sica Maria Rosa De Sica was born in Rome on 24 June She has a genetic vocation for art. Her father is Christian De Sica, actor and showman, and her paternal grandfather, Vittorio De Sica, was a famous Italian film director and four-times Oscar winner. She has always n called Mariù by her family, as the woman her grand-father used to sing about in one of the most iconic Italian songs of all time. After art school, Mariù decided to attend a course in costume and set designing at the Istituto Europeo di Design of Rome. Immediately afterwards, she obtained a Master s Degree in Fashion Styling and Editing, thanks to which she was admitted to attend a two-year specialization course in fashion designing at the Accademia del Lusso. She was awarded an internship at the Salvatore Ferragamo fashion house where she worked as designer in the Women s Fashion Style division. In 2011, she decided to found the Mariù De Sica brand together with her husband Federico Pellegrini.
