1 NOTES FOR OBSERVING IN SCHOOLS 1 1. Your schedules have been confirmed with the schools. You do not need to call the school prior to reporting for your first observation. 2. The time listed for your observation is the time you are to be in the classroom. You will need to arrive at the school about 10 minutes prior to that time if possible. Go by the office, introduce yourself, explain why you are there, and ask for directions to the classroom(s) in which you are to observe. The principal, assistant principal, or secretary will direct you to the classroom(s) in which you are to observe. 3. Be sure to sign in and out each time you go to a school, even if you go to the same school twice in one day. 4. Do not park in reserved places, numbered spaces, or on yellow curbs. 5. If you are riding with someone else, it is your responsibility to contact the driver and make plans for a place to meet. Be on time! Drivers are not expected to wait for those who are late. Main St. (after CVS on right) - turn right on S. Main - turn left (0.7 miles) on Marlon, turn back to right on Wilmont (no sign) - School is on your right, dead ends in school parking lot. On return drive, getting back on 76 is a right exit. 7 7 Take Hwy 123 from Clemson through Easley-Left fork on 124 after fair grounds on the left-left at the Conoco station on 253 (only service station on that road -may have new name)-drive through the light at intersection of Hwy 25 -large Wal-Mart on left-left on West Parker rd - 2nd light after passing Wal-Mart-school is about 1 block on the right Montessori School, PH: Pendleton, Clemson, SC Hwy. 93 to Hwy. 76 toward Anderson-Left on Business 28 at Armory-School will be on your right between Columbo s and Plez U Mount Lebanon Elementary School PH: Lebanon Road Pendleton, SC Anderson #4 Take Hwy 93 make a right turn onto Hwy 76 toward Anderson Turn left on SC-28 BR/ Pendleton Rd at the National Guard Armory. Go app. 2.5 miles turn LEFT onto E MAIN ST/SC-29 go app 6 miles. School is on the right New Prospect Elementary School, PH: New Prospect Church Rd., Anderson, SC Anderson #5 Hwy 76 toward Anderson-Right on Hwy 187 (at 1st traffic light after passing Hardee s)-cross I-85; at stop sign turn left onto Hwy. 24 -Continue on Hwy 24 to New Prospect Rd. (Soon after crossing two bridges over the lake, you will see the Anderson Airport Entrance to your right. The school is on your left in this area. There are apartments near the Hwy., but the school is visible. Nevitt Forest Elementary School, PH: Bolt Rd., Anderson, SC Anderson #5 Hwy 76 to Anderson-Turn left at traffic light just past Bojangles & Checkers (There is a left turn lane.) Go past Anderson college on your left (Just after passing the college, another street forks off to the right. Don t take it! You ll veer just a bit to the left and continue to Hwy. 29. Pass the Fairgrounds on your left and at stop sign, turn left onto Hwy 29. Turn right onto Plantation Rd. This road angles back to the right so it s not an easy turn. Continue on Plantation Rd. to school on your left at the corner of Plantation Rd. and Bolt Rd. Northside Elementary School, PH: N. As you enter Seneca, you will go under a railroad overpass and go passed Ingles on the right. Get in the left turning lane. Turn left at Eckerd Drugs. Go into and through

10 Seneca. At the last traffic light, at Hwy. 59, (on the left corner will be a western wear store and on the other left corner will be a used car business), turn left. You will pass the old fire station on the right. Go through the traffic light and over the railroad overpass. Turn right at the Rosa Clark Health Clinic (located at 210 S. Oak St.).
