These are the two precepts that have always led Furrer Jacot to create each piece individually (the House holds no stock) adapting each design uniquely to the customers individual wishes. This philosophy of transparency and closeness to the customer is rounded off by a true culture of quality. This follows the 100% Swiss Made tradition of a House that has always been independently managed and is established in a historic location in Schaffhausen amidst the stunning scenery of the Rhine Valley. Turn by turn, the designer, then the lathe operators, master jewellers, gem setters, polishers and engravers play their role in a process that combines innovative technologies and traditional craftsmanship, with each step carried out exclusively by hand and followed by careful inspection. 32 RINGDIVIDUELL THE RING WIDTH Design your own wedding ring Step 1 - Choose the form of the ring Step 2 - Choose which width suits your finger best Step 3 - Select the precious metal (950 platinum, 950 palladium, 18 carat white, yellow or rose gold) and colour (uni-coloured or bi-coloured) Step 4 - Give your ring a special touch with a surface finishing Step 5 - Select the number of diamonds; one, two or more There is a selection of widths for each form from 2mm until 7mm - it is worthwhile to try on several. You will notice that the width of a ring can enhance the favourable features and proportions of your hand and fingers THE RING FORM THE PRECIOUS METALS You can select from four different ring forms,choosing the one which best matches the contour of your finger and optimally complements your hand. Choose the metal, which you feel most comfortable with: 950 platinum, 750 (18 carat) yellow, red or white gold, or 950 palladium. All of these precious metals can also be converted into bi-colour rings, e.g. classic yellow/white gold, contemporary white gold/platinum or warm white/rose gold.

34 THE FURRER-JACOT UNDERTAKING ENGRAVING Because Furrer Jacot products are handed down through generations, the House considers your purchase to be the beginning of a partnership. In addition to the statutory warranties, Furrer Jacot provides a permanent warranty for material and workmanship errors upon your registration on the website (damage as a consequence of an accident, negligent or unsatisfactory care and normal wear and tear is excluded). The House offers a free resizing of the ring after one year, as well as an additional free resizing if you pass the piece of jewellery onto a direct heir. Furrer Jacot replaces for free any lost diamond weighing up to 0.05 carat. 35 DIAMONDS & PRECIOUS MATERIALS All diamonds are hand-set in the same facet alignment - at a perfect ten o clock direction - carefully reflecting the Swiss precision and attention to detail The precious stones and diamonds are selected with utmost care; each diamond presents an ideal balance of colour, clarity, cut and carat weight - the four Cs that determine its value - and meets the strictest ethical guidelines. Even for the smallest diamonds, Furrer Jacot will guarantee Top Wesselton VS quality, and ensure that the cut, polish and symmetry are perfect.

36 Furrer Jacot uses three special metals : 750/1000 (18 carat) yellow, white or rose gold, 950/1000 platinum and 950/1000 palladium. Each one is a specific alloy, of a density that guarantees the total absence of porosity, pits and fissures, and helps ensure a durable and pleasant feeling when worn. 70 All Furrer Jacot pieces are made in Schaffhausen,Switzerland,and each one is stamped with the House s FJ SWISS hallmark, which vouches for 100% Swiss made quality.
