In this role, Chris, along with icohere and David Cooperrider, Ph.D., launched ASAE & The Center s Social Responsibility Initiative in 2007, followed by the groundbreaking Global Summit on Social Responsibility in April The first-of-its-kind Global Summit connected more than 800 ASAE & The Center stakeholders via face-to-face meetings in Washington, DC and 19 connected locations around the world and online to co-create a social responsibility agenda for the future of the association profession. Previously, Chris directed ASAE & The Center s Nation s Capital Distinguished Speakers Series held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. For 13 seasons the series hosted presidents, prime ministers, Nobel Laureates, media personalities, entertainers, and other celebrities at the top of their field speaking on current events and their leadership roles. Mr. Fitzgerald represented The John Akridge Companies in the sale of 1307 New York Avenue, NW, a 106,000-square-foot, Class A office building, to a consortium of nonprofit organizations and the acquisition of a 300,000-square-foot development site at 900 H Street, NW, which was eventually developed and sold to The Smithsonian Institution. Additionally, he was involved in the sale of the Old Masonic Temple building at 901 F Street, NW as well as a subsequent owner representation assignment that secured The Gallup Organization as an anchor tenant. This transaction won the Washington Business Journal s Deal of the Year award. He also secured and services the national exclusive real estate contract with the American Diabetes. Ralph LEED Accredited Professional T: F: Jennifer Ralph is a client services professional in the Washington, DC office of CB Richard Ellis specializing in tenant representation and sustainability consulting. She works closely with the transaction team to define environmental goals of each client, and then analyzes each building alternative to determine the cost differentials to achieve higher ratings under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design ( LEED ) Rating System. In this capacity she will coordinate architects, building representatives and engineers to understand the challenges of each option, and quantify the benefit of occupying one building versus another. Stocum oversees all customer communications related to the environmental program, including Xerox s sustainability report and website. In addition, she develops leadership programs such as Xerox s environmental paper sourcing initiative and greenhouse gas reduction programs. Stocum also tracks public policy and regulatory issues and contributes to environmental sustainability strategy development and planning. Stocum joined Xerox in 1987 working in occupational health and regulatory affairs before her current position. Stocum earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the State University of New York at Geneseo. She attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she completed her master of science degree in ecology.
