This will undoubtedly have an impact on the structuring of international real estate investments. Initiatives from the EC and the OECD including ATAD, MLI and CBCR are evolving from tax policy papers into actual legislation becoming effective on a day to day basis. Following the new boundaries set by the international policy makers, countries are now defining their strategies following the implementation in domestic law. This session will provide an overview of the status of implementation in key territories and provide insight in the expected consequences for real estate platforms and funds. In a panel discussion, we will share views from representatives in the industry on the issues they face and how they expect to deal with them in the near future. 2. The session will include a focus on the real estate application of cognitive automation, blockchain and drones.

What's driving it? What is the strategy behind the acquisitions? Will we witness the survival of the biggest or of the "trophiest"? We have assisted to multiple M&A transactions in recent months but will they deliver the expected synergies and upsides? How fit they are for growth and is the post-deal integration managed ensuring the delivery of the returns: avoiding the pitfalls is key.

The unemployment rate at a record low (7.1%) and the fast growing economy (estimates of ca. 4% in 2017) has already attracted more than one million Ukrainian immigrants. The young and highly skilled workforce is lured by several top financial institutions. UBS, RBS, Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs are among others gradually relocating business operations to Poland. Also JP Morgan is looking to settle in Poland and to employ more than 2,500 IT and financial specialists. The Real estate sector recovered from the 2009 crisis: record high construction and leasing activity on warehouse property market; strong demand from companies in the BPO/SSC sector and the potential impact of Brexit generates additional stimulus for development of the office market across all major regions in Poland; the low urbanization rate creates potential for further future growth of residential developments in major agglomerations.
