Hear about the history and range of these programs, including several targeted to low income and other underinvested communities, and how you can use them. - Samuel J. Boyd, Jr., CIO and Director of Program Development, Small Business Administration 11:15 12:00 pm State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), Department of the Treasury The SSBCI program granted $1.5 billion to the states to fund a broad variety of programs to provide much-needed capital to businesses to help the nation recover from the recent recession. Approximately one third of the funds were dedicated to developmental venture capital. The program created a wonderful laboratory of experimentation. The Democrats still control the White House, and President Obama is showing renewed will to use executive authority to accomplish his priorities.
