In early 2017 a founder came to us with an idea for a peer-to-peer mortgage solution to help people get a better deal on high loanto-value mortgages. Using our extensive data analytics capability, as well as Capita s network of contacts in retail banking, we refined the proposition into a disruptive, high-value mortgage solution that identifies inefficiencies in common mortgage products, allowing everyone in the value chain to benefit. The first product that we re taking to market with the founder takes advantage of an arbitrage identified in a specific segment of mortgage lending. John Downes Partner / Co-founder John has over 15 years of strategy and business development experience across sectors such as Private Equity, Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Agriculture, Defence, Security and Transport. Before founding CSP, John was a Business Development Director in Capita s strategic deals team. Graduated from Nottingham University with a BSc in Physics. Matt Bunn Partner / Co-founder Matt has over 10 years experience in investment banking and strategic business development across a variety of sectors such as Private Equity, Banking, Telecoms and local government. Before founding CSP, Matt was a Commercial Director in Capita s strategic deals team, and now a founding partner in CSP. Graduated from Oxford University with a Master s degree in Mathematics. Damian Malins Operations Director Damian has 20 years experience in complex bid and project management, winning contracts and mobilising new businesses in Healthcare, Transport, Security, Defence and Utilities sectors. Before joining CSP, Damian was a Country Manager and Projects Director for a British SME delivering IT healthcare solutions and turnkey construction projects for national essential services. A graduate from Leeds University with a BSc in Geography, Damian holds a commission in the Royal Navy. She has significant international exposure, including six years in South East Asia, delivering modelling tools to support client transactions, new strategic initiatives and in-house corporate planning. Deepa graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Mathematics & Economics and MSc in Operational Research Dave is a software specialist with 48 years experience including 22 years designing and delivering complex IT solutions at Capita. Previously Dave worked for Rolls Royce & McDonnell Douglas, including working in the USA heading up the R&D for their software tools division. Dave graduated from University College London with a BSc in Physics followed by an MSc in Physics from the University of Sussex. Anna joined Capita as a Solution Architect in 2013, working on strategic business development contracts in the public and private sector. She spent a year delivering Capita s first large scale contract in Germany before working on new enterprise and IP commercialisation opportunities in the UK. Anna has a Masters degree from the University of Cambridge and speaks German, Italian and Spanish. Philip has 8 years operations and project management experience, improving products and services with Accenture and Value Retail. This included managing an oil major s fuel station operations globally; improving the efficiency of onboarding, claims and exit processes for insurance and investment products; and end to end management of shopping centres such as Bicester Village. He graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Natural Sciences. Jess is a qualified corporate lawyer with 5 years experience in financial and regulatory roles. She spent 3 years working with the Market Surveillance team at the UK M&A Regulator, the Takeover Panel and went on to train with a leading city law firm, working across the corporate finance and disputes divisions in London and Hong Kong. Jess has passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSC in Philosophy and Economics.
