Jonathan Duersch is an associate chief accountant in the office of the chief accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Jonathan leads consultation requests from public and private companies on current novel and complex accounting issues related to debt equity transactions, consolidations, derivatives, long-lived assets, and oil and gas accounting matters. He is involved with assessing the accounting implications of regulatory rule-making projects undertaken by the Commission specifically related to the oil and gas industry and has led SEC oversight of specific FASB s standard setting projects. STEPHEN COMSTOCK Director, Tax and Accounting Policy, American Petroleum Institute, Washington, D.C. Stephen Comstock is the director of tax and accounting policy for the American Petroleum Institute. His responsibilities include coordination and managing issues impacting the industry arising from federal, state income, excise and indirect taxes. In addition, he has responsibilities for developing and working API s policy on accounting and cyber issues. Prior to joining API, Stephen was a tax attorney with ExxonMobil in the tax department and provided planning advice for various projects in upstream, downstream and chemical operations. REGINA MAYOR Principal, U.S. Sector Leader for Energy, Natural Resources and Chemicals, KPMG LLP, Houston, TX Regina Mayor is the national sector leader for energy, natural resources and chemicals, and the Americas oil and gas leader at KPMG. In both capacities, she helps determine the firm s strategy to better serve the industry, as well as to optimize the delivery of its services nationally. Daryl is a former member of the board of directors of Financial Executives International (FEI) and in 2010 he was named chairman of FEI s committee on private company standards.
