3 Welcome to Risk Leaders I am delighted to welcome you to this year s Risk Leaders Conference, IRM s annual event for connecting leading thinkers and practitioners in the world of risk management. This year we are particularly pleased to have international contributions from Professor Howard Kunreuther of the Wharton School, Pennsylvania and Professor Mervyn E King from South Africa. With their input, alongside the other speakers, panel members, workshop facilitators and exhibitors, today s event promises to be one of our most successful ever. In a world of increasing political and technological volatility, the need for organisations to manage their risks has never been greater. This year s conference will focus on this changing world, and how individuals and corporate bodies can prepare to meet the challenges that arise. We hope you find it engaging, challenging and inspiring, and we look forward to hearing what you thought over networking drinks at the end of the day. Welcome to Risk Leaders We would like to thank our sponsors: Ian Livsey Chief Executive 3
