3 FOCUSING ON THE FUTURE LETTER TO OUR SHAREHOLDERS Dear Shareholders, Customers and Friends, In 2013, we celebrated our 25th Anniversary. Many of you shared in this celebration though various functions during the year. We are very proud to have served our markets for a quarter century. This could not have been possible without the lasting support of our customers, shareholders, regulators and friends. When the Bankers Bank was chartered in 1988, no one could have foreseen that we would grow to serve over 200 community banks in a four state region. Our directors and staff played a key role in this growth. The Banker s Bank s balance sheet continues to be strong. Our capital ratios are among the highest in the industry, with Regulation F ratios that far exceed regulatory minimums. Nonperforming assets have diminished year over year and Net Income is above peer. Please take a moment to review the enclosed statement of condition and related data. In 2013, the economy began to show some signs of a slow improvement. In previous years, artificially low interest rates, extremely slow loan demand and continuing high unemployment have retarded growth and income. At the beginning of 2014, we are seeing a slight increase in loan demand which may foretell an improving economy at last. We are hoping for modest growth in the coming year. Many thanks to all of you for your unwavering support over the past 25 years and we look forward to working with all of you as we embark upon the next chapter in our collective history. The banking industry continues to face many challenges, including historically low interest rates and increased regulatory/compliance requirements. However, The Bankers Bank remains a strong wellcapitalized financial institution, and we continue to make strategic decisions that are in the best long-term interest of our customers and shareholders alike. Now is the time for us to be engaged, proactive and focused on taking The Bankers Bank to the next level of Correspondent Banking Excellence. The Bankers Bank will continue to move forward, strive to meet the changing needs of our customers, respond and adapt to industry challenges, and enhance the products and services we provide through innovation marked our 25th anniversary and we ve been fortunate to have experienced a long tradition of success. As we celebrate this milestone, we appreciate the support of our customers and shareholders and look forward to continuing our story of success in Programs move forward, evolve, become mobile... Community Banks progress as the future takes flight! 2. Warmest Regards, William L. Fallon President and CEO 3.
