1 Celebrating the Stars of Public Education ANNIVERSARY
2 For 25 years, the Philadelphia Education Fund, a champion for quality public education ANNIVERSARY in the region, has been a vital and positive force in the education community, providing critical guidance and leadership to improve schools and raise student achievement. We see examples of promise and potential every day. We created the EDDYs in 2005 to bring these stories of educational triumph to the forefront. Come celebrate with us 25 years of continued commitment to improving the quality of education in Philadelphia and the region. Collectively, the 2010 Stars of Public Education represent the region s public education success legacy. They join a distinguished group of prior recipients including Pulitzer Prize Winning Journalist Acel Moore (2009); astronaut Guion S. Bluford (2008); School District of Philadelphia superintendent, teacher, and alumna Constance Clayton (2008); Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter/poet/actress Jill Scott (2006); and Governor Edward G. Rendell (2007) among others. Proceeds from the EDDYs support the Ed Fund s innovative educational programs and initiatives that assist public school students. Be a part of the Ed Fund s 25-year legacy, and join us at the EDDYs 2010! ext 3307
