3 Cybersecurity Panel April 5 3:00 p.m. 3:45 p.m. Moderator: 2018 Industry Roundtable Speaker Bios Ben Taylor, Callan Associates & NAGDCA Industry President April 5-6, 2018 The Liaison Capitol Hill 415 New Jersey Avenue, NW Washington, DC Ph: Ben Taylor is a vice president and a defined contribution consultant in Callan's Fund Sponsor Consulting group based in the San Francisco office. Taylor serves as a lead consultant to DC plans and has a primary focus on public sector DC plans, ranging from 457(b) plans to single and multi-vendor 403(b)/401(a) and 401(k) plans. As a member of Callan s DC team Taylor also conducts specialized research, fee studies, plan structure analyses, and serves as a project manager for TPA and record keeper searches. Prior to his career at Callan, Taylor was a DC specialist at R.V. Kuhns & Associates where he served as a consultant to the DC plans of four states, and several large city and university DC systems. He also formerly taught economics at Harvard University, where he received an award for excellence in teaching. Taylor earned a Master of International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University. He also earned a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in international trade and finance from Harvard University s Kennedy School of Government. He received his BA from Reed College. Panelists: Christina Ayiotis, Cybersecurity & Information Governance Leadership & Consulting An internationally recognized business executive and attorney, Christina Ayiotis brings a unique strategic perspective, honed from years of building substantive (geopolitically contextualized) cyber expertise. A true "Cyber Connector," she brings together cross-functional (and international) constituencies to foster productive collaborative solutions. She founded and Co-Chaired the Georgetown Cybersecurity Law Institute and served on AFCEA International s Cyber Committee, as well as The Cybersecurity Canon Committee. In March 2018, she was recognized as one of The Top 15 Women in Cybersecurity and InfoSec Today; in January 2017, as one of the Top 50 Women in Internet Security and, in July 2016, as one of the Top 20 Women in #InfoSec to follow on Twitter after having been named one of the Top #InfoSec People to Follow on Twitter. She taught a Masters Level Information Policy class at GW and served as Deputy General Counsel Information Governance, at CSC (a global technology services provider). She led global programs at Booz Allen Hamilton, Ernst & Young International, and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. She served on the Boards of Directors of ARCS MWC, Fairfax Law Foundation, ARMA NOVA, Hellenic American Women's Council and Women s Bar Association of DC. She earned a Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache from the Goethe Institut and studied French at the Alliance Française, Paris. In 2008, she earned the Certified Records Manager certification. A magna cum laude graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University (BS- Biology/ BA-Philosophy; Minors- Mathematics/French; University Honors), she earned a Juris Doctorate from William & Mary Law School. She has been an active Member in Good Standing of the Virginia State Bar since 1991 and the District of Columbia Bar since She is the extremely proud Mom of a 20-year-old PhD candidate in Neuroengineering at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Emilian Papadopoulos, Good Harbor Security Risk Management Emilian Papadopoulos is president of Good Harbor, a premiere cyber security risk management advisory firm. Emilian advises Boards, CEOs, investment professionals, and government leaders on managing cyber risk. His clients span sectors including financial services, insurance, energy, technology, defense, and manufacturing, as well as regions including North America, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia. Emilian is adjunct professor at Georgetown University s School of Foreign Service, teaching on cyber security. He co-authored The Governor s Guide to Cybersecurity with the National Governors Association and has presented repeatedly at RSA and other cyber security conferences. Before leading Good Harbor, Emilian worked for Foreign Affairs Canada and for the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C. Mr. Papadopoulos is a graduate of the University of Toronto and received a Masters of Public
4 Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where he is currently serving on the Alumni Board of Directors. Alex Petrow, Asscensus Alex Petrow is the of Information Security at Ascensus. He joined Ascensus in 2011 and is responsible for information security across the enterprise. Alex formalized and grew the security program working closely with surrounding Risk Management, Legal, and IT teams. Prior to joining Ascensus, Alex was an information security consultant with PwC for nine years performing a range of capabilities from penetration testing and assessments to security strategy. Alex worked with large and medium-sized companies across several industries with a concentration in financial services. Alex holds a bachelor s degree in Accounting Information Systems from Bryant University honors program and is CISSP certified. RFP Panel April 6 9:00 a.m. 9:45 a.m. Moderator: Jeffrey Snyder, The Morning Pulse Jeffrey H. Snyder currently serves as a President/CEO and National Public Markets Practice Leader for The Morning Pulse, Inc. He is an industry board member of the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators, a Public Policy Committee member of the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association and an advisory board member for the Defined Contribution Real Estate Council and Defined Contribution Alternatives Association. Considered an "industry insider" and an independent voice, he has appeared in both television and print discussing the issues related to retirement and the capital markets. He also is the creator, producer and host of the interview show Staying Ahead of the Curve, available through the Bloomberg network. Panelists: Keith Overly, Ohio Deferred Compensation Keith Overly has been the Executive Director of the Ohio Deferred Compensation Program (Ohio DC) since Ohio DC provides a supplemental defined contribution plan to Ohio local and state government employees and administers over 200,000 participant accounts with assets in excess of $13 billion. Before joining Ohio DC, Keith had 29 years of local government service in Ohio and Michigan including chief financial officer in three cities and most recently, Deputy City Manager in Kalamazoo Michigan. He has been a member of the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA) since He is also a member of the Governmental Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the Ohio GFOA, the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, and the Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA). He is also a past member of the GFOA Executive Board, served on the GFOA Committee on Retirement and Benefit Administration for 13 years, has been active on NAGDCA task forces and committees, and is a frequent speaker at professional conferences. His education includes a B.A. from Wittenberg University and M.P.A. from the University of Dayton. Cindy Rehmeier, MOSERS Cindy Rehmeier is the Manager of Defined Contribution Plans with the Missouri State Employees' Retirement System (MOSERS). Cindy focuses on the oversight of three defined contribution plans of which responsibilities include: record keeper selection and oversight, communications and education oversight, compliance and policy aspects, and the selection of investment options and investment manager due diligence. Cindy joined MOSERS in July 1999 and prior to her current position, she managed the defined benefit plan's internal short-term fixed income portfolio and all securities lending activity and assisted in the oversight of MOSERS equity and fixed income external investment managers. Cindy completed the Certified Financial Planner program with the College of Financial Planning and received the
5 Certified Financial Planner designation. She also received a Master of Business Administration from William Woods University. She attended Missouri State University and Columbia College graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Cindy is a member of Financial Planning Association and has also served on the executive board of the Missouri Association of Public Employees' Retirement Systems for the past 11 years.
