2 Welcome, In this document you will find all of the key points that Colette laid out in the 1st video Asking The Right Question. It s a great idea to refer to this document as often as you need until you get the hang of asking the right question. Welcome

3 SHUFFLING YOUR CARDS If you already own a deck, or you just bought one, shuffling is an important component of doing a reading. If you re using the online app, then it randomly shuffles the deck for you. The question I hear a lot is, is there a right way or a wrong way to start a reading? Truthfully the best way to approach the Oracle is with reverence. You re going to connect with Spirit. Kind of like wearing your Sunday best to church when you were little. I like to treat this conversation with respect - like a sacred ceremony. That said - even before you shuffle, I want you to consider Spirit, acknowledge Shuffling Spirit and intend only the highest good and to do no harm. Simple. Or you can say a prayer. I share my own prayer with you in video three. Now, when I get a new deck I like to fan them in a circle on a table and mix them up. That way, they will be separated and you ll get both upright and reversed cards. New decks can be stiff and Oracle Cards are usually bigger than playing cards (mine are, for sure). So you can also separate them into little piles and shuffle those like in a card game. I actually do all of that. Then, when you feel you ve done this enough - you can start.

4 ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTION So whatever you choose to ask about...we want to avoid looking for finite answers that imply yes or no. We also want to reveal a broader, more detailed picture of the energy fueling the situation. Why? Because that energy suggests where your situation is truthfully heading. Then, you have the power to make a choice. You re not giving away your power to the hopes of a future you think you want. For instance, in a relationship reading instead of asking, will I end up with Question this person? and then choosing a card, let s first find out what your soul would want you to know... For my highest good, what would be the result of me entering into a relationship with this person? And then pull a card and WOW! Those two questions and answers couldn t be more different, right? So you see, asking the question in the right way is also a personal development tool. You want to see what s up and how you can move past things that may not be good for you, but especially, have them give you the signs when you re back on the right track. When you re in alignment with

5 your soul, and with Spirit, that s where the real magic shows up! When you use the cards often enough, and learn to ask the question in a way that really looks to your highest good, life gets easier. You ll learn to trust the cards, but more than that, you ll learn to trust yourself. Because YOU are reflected in the cards. They are like mirrors that show you everything about you, not just what you re looking to see. Now choose any scenario you re being challenged by right now, and try to ask the question from the point of view of your soul. If you desire something, ask why, and what will you gain by pursuing it. Emotionally you can tell me why Question you want it, but subconsciously you may want it for all of the wrong reasons, and sometimes to your detriment. So let s look at a career type of question. You might want to go straight to should I take this job? but a better angle might be... what do I need to know about this job opportunity? Or say you you re in transition, maybe you want to leave where you are for more spiritually satisfying work or maybe you want to relocate. You might ask... what is the result of making this choice to go in this direction? 6

6 Are you seeing how making just a slight adjustment in your wording shifts your thinking and starts a domino effect? If you re struggling with this, don t worry - it takes a bit to wrap your head around it. The main thing is to avoid asking yes or no questions or asking for a finite destination. We do not have to be the victims of our history. You can learn from your history and then make a fresh new start. You get to move forward with a blank Question slate to create any story you want when you ask the right questions. That is pretty cool! In the next lesson, we re going to look at how getting a reversed card is a blessing in disguise. You won t want to miss it. 7

7 PRACTICE QUESTIONS RELATIONSHIPS: Personal, business, family, etc... What would be the result of entering a relationship with? What can you tell me about this relationship? How will I feel in this relationship? What would be the result of breaking up with? What part do I play in? What is the cause of the difficulty with? Practice What can I do to make better? What will happen if I with? Do you see a pattern? You re asking for your highest good how you re going to end up feeling, rather than asking will it happen. Make up as many questions as you can with the intention of finding out the result of an action will be, NOT will it come to be. 8

8 PRACTICE QUESTIONS BUSINESS STRATEGY AND CAREER What would be the result of entering into a partnership with? What can you tell me about this opportunity? How will I feel in this job? What would be the result of? What can I do to get along better with? I want a promotion, what is the best way to make myself seen as valuable? If I, what will the result be? Are you seeing a common thread, even from the relationship questions. Isn t it amazing how framing the question for a result oriented answer instead of a yes or no answer gives you way more detail and actually helps you come to a better decision. Make up questions based your needs. You ll be amazed at the clarity of your situation.practice 9

9 PRACTICE QUESTIONS RANDOM QUESTIONS How can I resolve my problem with? What can you tell me about? What do I need to know about finding my purpose? I love doing, what can you tell me about the first steps I need to know to make it happen? My and I aren t, for my highest good, what action should I take? I haven t, what can I do to? If I, what will the result be? Again, looking at more patterns: what part in any situation do you play a factor in, and how can you create action to change or advance that? Make up questions based on action steps you need to take. Spirit will give you great guidance.practice 10
