1 - 1 Miniatures - or Aliied Classical Guitar / Classical Guitar Eric Skytterholm Egan 1-14 Minutter

2 Perormance Notes: Slightly anticipated. Chords: Plucked simultaniously. Broken normally. Attaccs: Pull-o (G-string). Portmento - bend the string at the headstock (behind the ingerboard). Bartók pizzicato - Slap the string against the ingerboard. Tap the note. Strings: Open String. Normal Harmonic. The top note is played on the string notated in brackets. Special harmonics: 1 (V) V ( ) 1. Slap or Touch Harmonic: mmediately touch the node ater playing the open string or slapping it against the ingerboard. Slapping is indicated with a martellato 'hat' and Bartok pizzicato, touching is written with a legato accent.. Re-tapped Harmonic: With the inger touching the string, tap on the node (again), immediately ater it has been played. Done sotly, this reinorces the harmonic.. Adjacent-String Harmonic: Produced by bending the adjacent string (in brackets) to pluck the string itsel (above) behind the sound hole. The inger holding the adjacent string must touch the string itsel (coming rom underneath) immediately ater it has been plucked. it is done correctly the harmonic itsel will sound louder than the open string. On the Aliication: Aliication through our speakers, placed at the our corners o the audience is preerable. Front aliication with a stereo pair is also acceptable. There are our levels o aliication; the levels change between most movements. While the quiet movements are to be more heavily aliied, they should nonetheless be a lot quieter than the louder movements. a. Low Level: The guitar needs only some aliication as it is a very loud movement. b. Medium Level: The guitar requires a moderate amount o aliication. c. High Level: The guitar needs signiicant aliication as it is a airly quiet movement. d. Very High Level: The guitar requires heavy aliication as it is a very quiet movement.

The pitch bend is produced by bending the neck towards the body slightly, ollowing the notated indications o speed. Alternatively it may be produced by bending the string at the headstock, behind the ingerboard. Each note should be allowed to ring until the string is played again. The duration o each note is ree but the pattern should be regular. Pitch bend q=4 Freely - With Pathos
