It is our custom to wait for all communicants to be served and then to eat and drink together as a family of faith. The inner rings of each tray contain sacramental wine, and the outside ring of each tray contains grape juice. The biscuits in the cup are gluten free. PASTORAL PRAYER LORD S PRAYER Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. After the exile to Babylon: Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel, Zerubbabel the father of Abihud, Abihud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor, Azor the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Akim, Akim the father of Elihud, Elihud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah. Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah. This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 7 Announcements for January 6, 2019 Take time to check out what s happening Special Congregational Meeting Sunday School New Year s Celebration Youth Praise Band Mission Tour New Year s Youth Celebration Men s Fellowship (M.C.S.F.) Women s Fellowship (W.C.S.F.) Bible Study Ladies Who Lunch SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING TODAY AT 11:45 a.m. The meeting will begin at 11:45 am in Souers Hall. The purpose of the meeting will be to consider calling Rev. Dr. Lynne Kammeraad as our new Senior Pastor. The senior pastor selection committee unanimously recommended Pastor Lynne to the Board of Directors, and the Board of Directors has unanimously recommended her for consideration by the entire congregation. Your attendance is needed to ensure that we have a quorum for this important meeting. Child care is available in the Nursery. CELEBRATION Please be sure to join us in worship on Sunday, January 13. We will be celebrating Pastor Dale s ministry at The Church at Litchfield Park during all three worship services. Cake will be served between the services in Souers Hall. 7

MISSION TOUR ON MONDAY, JANUARY 14 HOMEWARD BOUND, ST. MARY S FOOD BANK, HOMELESS YOUTH CONNECTION, MISSION OF MERCY, AND NEW LIFE CENTER.

We will leave from the church at 6:45 a.m. and be back about 12:30 p.m. Bring along drinks and a lunch in a bag with your name on it to put in a cooler in the van/bus.

Hamburgers and fries will be provided. Please note the new name, date and time.

Sign up in the breezeway between services. MEN S CHRISTIAN SERVICE FELLOWSHIP (M.C.S.F.) Men s Fellowship will meet Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 6:00 7:30 p.m. in Souers Hall. Hamburgers and fries will be provided. Please note the new name, date and time. Through video and discussion, we will explore topics that deepen our relationships with both Jesus Christ and one another. Men s Fellowship will meet the second Tuesday of each month. Please sign up in the breezeway if you are interested in attending. All men are welcome! BIBLE STUDY Bible study resumes Tuesday, January 8, at 10:00 a.m. and Wednesday, January 9, at 6:30 p.m. in Souers Hall. Our focus for this eight-week study will be on Revelation 1-3 and the letters written to the churches in Asia Minor. Please read John 15 and Revelation 1 prior to our time together if possible. As always, please bring a Bible and something to write with if you are able to. 8

LADIES WHO LUNCH All women are invited to Ladies Who Lunch at 12:30 p.m., on January 8, at Panera Bread, 15479 W. McDowell Rd., Goodyear for a Dutch-treat meal.

9 SUNDAY SCHOOL NEW YEAR S Sunday School New Year s Celebration TODAY. We will have inflatables and lots of fun for the Sunday school children in the front yard of the Watt House. Plan to come and invite some friends to do some jumping around the first Sunday of YOUTH PRAISE BAND The youth praise band will TODAY from 11:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. They will be rehearsing in the choir room. All 6 th -8 th graders are invited! NEW YEAR S YOUTH CELEBRATION Pulse and Ignite youth groups will meet TODAY, for the New Year s youth celebration! We will have inflatables and fun!
