3 To the Class of 2011, Graduation is a time where you should look back and remember the journey that you completed and be proud of your accomplishments before you start your next challenge. As I think back to when I first met this class it brings me back to eighth grade football when all of our blocking calls where based off of food. (It was easy for Meeks to remember) I also remember some quiet kid in class who became the star to the show in High School Musical (Dan Tomcik) There are so many more stories of what this class did to make a difference here at Brooklyn High School. Your efforts did make Brooklyn a better place, which is what I tried to get you to realize in the community development chapter of CHP class. I want to tell you that I really enjoyed being a part of your journey. I enjoyed teaching you as freshman and seniors, even though you drove me nuts with your carefree attitudes about current events. From now on, you are the ones who will be voting, I hope you stay informed and choose good leaders. You are the leaders of tomorrow to make this world a better place. As you look back, be proud of your accomplishments but don t get too comfortable for the next challenge is beginning now. As you all should know, I like reading quotes of good advice so as you take the next step in your journey remember the words of Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller; Everyday is a new opportunity.
