1 School Supplies Resource Classes For ALL STUDENTS in ALL GRADE LEVELS to cover all of the resource classes*, please have your student bring the following items to Ms. Yorczyk in the Library or to Mrs. Hitt in the first floor computer lab so they can take care of storage: 1 container of Clorox or Lysol Disinfecting Wipes (75 count or higher) 1 Bottle of Foam Hand Sanitizer (please be sure it is a regular sized bottle, not a travel/individual sized bottle) 1 pack of Puffs or Kleenex tissues 1 roll of Bounty paper towels 1 pack of pre-sharpened #2 pencils Technology - A La Carte Headphones ALL students in ALL grade levels must have a pair of headphones that will be kept in school for the duration of the school year. If students choose to use ear buds, they must be able to insert/use the ear buds independently. Headphones will be kept in the homerooms by the homeroom teachers or in students backpacks (middle school). Please send headphones to school in a Ziploc bag with the student s name and homeroom written clearly on the bag. *Art class will still require the specific art supplies that Mrs. Costello requests. The items on this list will be used by all resource teachers including technology, library, music, and gym, and they will help to replenish art and other teachers supplies as needed throughout the year.

2 Art Supply List Thomas Johnson Elementary Middle School This is a list of requested art supplies for Grades K-8. 1 small supply box 1 soft pink rubber eraser 1 Elmer s white glue 2 glue sticks 1 over-sized T-shirt to be used in art class (need not be new) 4 #2 pencils 1 pair of Fiskars student scissors 1 roll of paper towels All students are responsible for purchasing and replenishing art supplies for the entire school year. It is very important that every student has his/her own supplies to successfully participate in assigned art activities.

Small mat for resting (optional) Large old t-shirt for art activities 3-Ring binder (for homework) Sharpened fat pencils (2) Elmer s Glue sticks (12 or more) Crayola crayons (1 pack of primary/large; 2 packs of regular) Water-based Crayola markers (2 packs) Four pack of Expo dry erase markers (black preferred) Crayola construction paper (1 pk. of assorted colors) Baby wipes (1) Clorox wipes (3) Box of tissues (3) Ziploc brand bags (1 box gallon size; 1 box of quart or sandwich size) Paper towels (2) 8 Paper plates Napkins One box of plastic flatware (assorted or just spoons) Pump bottle of anti-bacterial hand sanitizer (1) Pump bottle of hand soap (2) Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (2) *Headphones for Technology class All school supplies are put into community boxes for the students to share. It is not necessary to write your child s name on them. Students will need scissors, glue, and crayons for homework, so please be sure to purchase an extra set of these supplies to keep at home. If you would like to donate any other supplies such as index cards, tissue paper, pipe cleaners, pom-poms, stickers, paint, play-doh, etc., they would be greatly appreciated!

4 Kindergarten Supply List Thomas Johnson Elementary Middle School This is a list of materials students entering kindergarten will need. These materials are due the first day of school. Please note that some of the supplies will need to be restocked as the year progresses. We will notify you in the monthly newsletter or your child s communication folder when we are running low. Please keep in mind that students will have homework, so it will be necessary for your child to have crayons, scissors, and glue at home as well as in school. If your child s supplies are running low at home, they are running low at school. January is a good time to restock school supplies. 1. Five sharpened primary pencils 2. Ten Crayola glue sticks 3. One pair of child scissors 4. One box of Crayola markers 5. One pack of fat Expo dry erase makers and one pack of skinny Expo dry erase markers 6. One pair of children s socks (We use these as erasers for our white boards.) 7. One box of 24 count Crayola crayons Please do not send in larger than 24 as large quantities are hard to store in pencil boxes 8. One bottle of Elmer s glue 9. Plastic pocket folders 2 red, 2 black, 2 yellow, 2 green, 2 orange 10. Three boxes of family size unscented tissues 11. One bottle of hand sanitizer and one bottle of liquid hand soap 12. One box of 1 gallon zip lock bags 13. Paper plates - No foam plates please, we use these for activities 14. One pack of Dixie bathroom cups 15. Two rolls of paper towels 16. One fat container of Clorox/Lysol wipes 17. One pack of plastic spoons 18. One pack of unscented baby wipes 19. Plastic pencil box label with student s name 20. 5 1 st Grade Supply List Thomas Johnson Elementary Middle School Welcome to First Grade! Your child will need the following items for the upcoming school year. For the Class: (Please do not label these items with your child s name. We will collect these items and share with the entire class.) Zip lock freezer bags o 1 box - gallon o 2 boxes - quart 2 rolls of Bounty paper towels 1 bottle of hand soap 2 boxes of Kleenex tissues 2 marble composition notebooks (no spiral notebooks) 2 boxes of Crayons 2 highlighters 12 Elmer s glue sticks 1 bottle of Elmer s liquid school glue 6 packs of pencils (each pack contains 12 pencils each). We would greatly appreciate your assistance with sharpening the pencils prior to sending them. 1 package of Crayola markers 1 one inch binder ( White/product_82656) 4 plain solid color folders, PLASTIC, with three holes (We will distribute them as needed. Please do not write names on them.) o 1 green, 1 orange, 1 red, and 1 yellow 2 packs of construction paper 1 pack of Post-it notes 2 packs of computer paper Clorox wipes 8 Expo dry erase markers (black only please) o Expo brand markers are preferred for use on our dry erase boards and page protectors. Other brands tend to ruin dry erase boards quickly. *Several of the above mentioned items have Box Tops. Please remove them and send them in during a contest so your child gets credit. For Each Individual Student: (All of the below items need to be kept in your child s pencil box. Please check your child s supplies throughout the year.)
