1 Avalon Elemen tary School Recommended Supply Lists By Grade Level for the School Year Kindergarten Recommended Supply List Fall 2017 We use community supplies in Kindergarten where the whole classroom shares supplies in table caddies. There is no need for your child to have any individual supplies in Kindergarten you can save those for home! If you are able to donate supplies for our classroom please see the list below for recommended items. We greatly appreciate any donations!!!! * 2 boxes of 24 crayons (Crayola preferred) * 1 box of 8 washable markers (Crayola preferred) * 1 medium bottle of white glue * 1 package of fat dry erase markers (Expo preferred) * 10 glue sticks * 3 boxes of Kleenex * 1 box of gallon Ziploc bags * 1 box of quart Ziploc bags * 3 boxes no. 2 yellow pencils (Ticonderoga preferred) * 2 big Pink Pearl erasers OR 1 package pencil cap erasers * 2 containers of Clorox Wipes (No Lysol brand please due to allergies) * 2 rolls of paper towels * 2 packages of white paper plates (paper feel, not shiny, the cheaper the better) * 2 packages baby wipes * 1 package brown lunch bags * 1 change of clothes, in a bag, labeled with name. 2 1st Grade Recommended Supply List Fall 2017 Although we will have school supplies available in the classroom for all students to use, the first grade teachers strongly recommend that each student have their own school supplies for their own personal use. This is only a SUGGESTED list of items they might want to have: *4 fine tip black white board markers. (BLACK is the only acceptable color for our math whiteboards). *A labeled supply box *scissors (with their name on the handle) *crayons (no more than 24 count) *markers (no more than 12 count) *pencils (LOTS of sharpened pencils!!) *erasers *several glue sticks *a spiral notebook for free writing and drawing (also labeled) * a plastic shoe box with a lid Additional items for the Classroom include: *Kleenex *sandwich baggies and gallon sized baggies *play dough, assorted colors *napkins, paper plates, plastic silverware Thank you so much for anything you are able to donate for our classroom use! You may send them in at any time!

3 2 nd Grade Recommended Supply List Fall 2017 Personal Supplies: Backpack labeled with child s name in permanent marker (no wheels please) We use community supplies in 2 nd Grade where the whole classroom shares supplies in table caddies. Classroom Community Supplies: 2 packs of #2 pencils (Ticonderoga preferred) 1 pack of large pink erasers (not pencil toppers) 1 box of 24-count crayons 2 boxes of Kleenex 4 washable glue sticks 2 black EXPO dry erase markers, skinny Girls: 1 box of Ziploc quart size baggies Boys: 1 box of Ziploc gallon size baggies Suggested Supplies to have at Home for Homework: Crayons and/or colored pencils Pair of scissors Glue sticks Pencils Remember these are suggested supplies to help your child and our classroom. 4 3 rd Grade Recommended Supply List Fall 2017 Although we will have school supplies available in the classroom for all students to use, the third grade teachers strongly recommend that each student have their own school supplies for their own personal use. This is only a SUGGESTED list of items they might want to have: **Please write your child s name on markers, glue, and scissors ONLY! The other items I create labels for** Two composition notebooks-wide ruled-no spiral, one Black speckled and one RED speckled 1 box quart or gallon sized zip lock baggies Refillable Water bottle Pencils (Ticonderogas are the best, unlimited amount) Pink Block Eraser/s Crayons and Twistable Colored pencils-write your child s name on these Elmer s Bottled Glue and Glue Sticks Scissors write your child s name on these 4 EXPO markers-any color but RED ***LOW ORDOR** Small sock, piece of felt, OR EXPO Eraser-NO SPRAY CLEANER Kleenex (3 boxes-please and thank you) 2 or more boxes Clorox Bleach Wipes 12 ruler (standard and metric) Personal pencil sharpener **Students must have pouch or box to contain all pencils, markers, etc.** Additional Items for Classroom Use Paper cups, paper plates, bowls, forks, spoons, and napkins Please refrain from bringing the following to school- Permanent markers Mini staplers Extra binders or portfolios/trapper Keepers

5 4th Grade Recommended Supply List Fall 2017 Although we will have school supplies available in the classroom for all students to use, the fourth grade teachers strongly recommend that each student have their own school supplies for their own personal use. This is only a SUGGESTED list of items they might want to have: #2 Pencils with Erasers (Ticonderoga are best, unlimited amount) Refillable Water Bottle Homework Folder (durable) Large Clip Board 2 Pink Block Erasers Pencil Bag or Box Crayons, Colored Pencils, Markers, and Water Colors 2 Highlighters Extra notebook(s) for personal use Scissors Elmer s Bottled Glue and Glue Sticks 12 Ruler (Standard & Metric) Black and Colored thin line Markers (Paper Mate Flair works great) Multiplication Cards for at home use Post It notes (any sizes, lined or unlined) Index Cards with lines (3X5 and 5X8) EXPO or BIC whiteboard THIN markers, black only Headphones or ear buds for computer lab use ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES FOR CLASSROOM USE Rolls of masking tape Baby Wipes Sandwich, gallon, or quart size Ziploc Bags Kleenex (3 boxes, please) Clorox Wipes Paper Towel Paper Cups, Paper Plates, Bowls, Forks, Spoons, and Napkins NOTES 1. No Trapper Keepers or extra binders. (They will be sent back home.) 2. No personal pencil sharpeners unless they are kept in a Ziploc. 3. No mini staplers. (They will be sent back home.) 4. Please sharpen pencils before bringing them in and have many extras! 5. Book bags should have straps and be able to hang on hooks in the coat room. 6.
