1 Kindergarten Supply List Salem Elementary You are welcome to bring the following items with you to Open House *1 package of #2 pencils (regular size) *6 packages of 16 or 24 count Crayola crayons (regular size) NO Jumbo Crayons Please! *20 glue sticks *1 pair of Fiskars scissors *2 large erasers *1 plastic regular size crayon box *Crayola watercolor paint set ~Optional Items~ (These are items that you may purchase for your child s Kindergarten classroom, PLEASE understand that they are not required but greatly appreciated.) *Kleenex Tissues *paper towels *baby wipes *paper plates (small & large) *large sized wiggly eyes *cotton balls *Ziploc bags *Brown or White Paper Lunch Bags *Each child will have his/her own basket for supplies in their locker.

2 First Grade Supply List Salem Elementary I am so glad you are going to be in first grade. I am sure you will have fun learning new things. To be prepared for schoolwork, you will need the following school supplies. Please bring these to our Open House! 1 red wide-ruled spiral notebook (plastic fronts) 1 blue wide-ruled spiral notebook (plastic fronts) 2 plastic folders 4 boxes of 24 count Crayola Crayons 1 pair of Fiskars student scissors #2 lead pencils Elmer s glue sticks 1 large zippered pencil pouch (no boxes please) 1 package Crayola Markers 1 package of pencil top erasers Backpack (roll-around backpacks are not allowed) Optional Kleenex Tissue Clorox disinfectant wipes Thank-you! 3 Salem Elementary 2 nd Grade Supply List 3 wide ruled spiral notebooks 1 pkg. wide-ruled loose leaf notebook paper 1 box of 24 crayons 3-4 glue sticks Scissors 1 box of markers 1 bottle of white glue 4 boxes of pencils 1 box of pencil top erasers 2 folders Pencil pouch (large enough to hold pencils, scissors, crayons, glue, erasers) for switching classes Backpack (roll-around backpacks are not allowed) OPTIONAL Kleenex, paper towels, Windex, disinfectant wipes, magic erasers, etc. ***Some supplies will need to be replenished occasionally (crayons, glue sticks, pencils, erasers, etc.). We will send a reminder note home when we start running low on supplies.

4 Third Grade School Supply List Salem Elementary You are welcome to bring the following items with you to Open House 7 packages of wooden #2 pencils 4 glue sticks 3 packages of pencil top erasers 1 pair of scissors 1 box of 24 Crayola crayons 1 box of washable markers 1 large zippered pencil pouch 1 package of wide ruled loose leaf notebook paper 5 Two pocket folders with paper clasps in the middle (1 red, 1 blue, 1 purple, 1 green, and 1 yellow) 4 Spiral bound 70 sheet notebooks(1 red, 1 blue, 1 purple, 1 green) (It would be a good idea to buy extra supplies while they are on sale. The above items may need to be replenished throughout the school year.) The following items are optional only, but would be greatly appreciated!!! Sturdy paper towels 3 Boxes of Kleenex Tissues 1 bag of assorted candy or decorative pencils for classroom treats (no hard candy, please) Clorox Wipes or spray cleaner

5 Salem Elementary School A Great Place to Learn 1409 S Hwy 76 Russell Springs, KY th Grade Supply List All 4 th grade students will need to bring the following items to Open House: 3 packages of loose leaf, white, college ruled notebook paper 2 composition notebooks 4 solid color pocket folders 5 packages of YELLOW, WOODEN #2 pencils 6 glue sticks 3 packs of pencil top erasers 1 pair of scissors (Fiskars are recommended) Crayons and/or colored pencils (preferably Crayola) 1 large zipper pencil pouch (no plastic ones they tear too easily) 2 hand held pencil sharpeners 2 college ruled one subject notebooks (blue or green) We realize the economic crunch affects everyone; therefore, please contact the school if you are unable to purchase supplies. Furthermore, we are asking for very little this year to help out with financial issues. However, anyone who would like to donate the follow items may: 1 box tissues (Kleenex or Puffs preferred) Assorted candy to be used as classroom treats (please, nothing with peanuts) Expo Markers Resalable plastic sandwich bags (such as Ziplock) Sanitizing wipes (Clorox, Lysol, etc) Hand sanitizer Some school supplies will need to be replenished throughout the year, so you may want to purchase extra while they are on sale this summer.
