1 Welcome to Summer! June 2018 Thankyou for the time and effort you give to your parish to make our Masses beautiful and welcoming for all who attend! You do a good job of serving when you are scheduled, but we could work on getting to the sacristy 15 minutes before Mass begins. (Flying in 5 minutes before Mass begins is not serving your parish we hope you re coming, but we don t know for sure.) We look for replacements if you aren t there 10 minutes before Mass. You are typically scheduled twice a month - please try to ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY as we count on your participation. When you know ahead of time you cannot be there, trade or find a substitute and let them know if you are assigned a job. Thankyou for all who faithfully find a replacement! Summers are so busy - so many things to do and places to go! You are a member of our parish family and your ministry is a way of living your life as a Catholic Christian and witnessing to Christ. Keep Jesus on your mind and in your life throughout the summer. Remember He is Always with you wherever you are! APPROPRIATE SUMMER ATTIRE for serving in the sanctuary, the Most Holy Place in church: Women and Girls: Short-sleeve tops with a modest neckline. Cap sleeves are fine Modest Skirt length above the knee Loose-fitting long pants with the exception of blue denim Men and Boys: Short-sleeve shirts Long pants with the exception of blue denim Shoes for everyone: If your ministry involves going up and down the sanctuary steps, wear shoes with a heel strap for safety You are a Minister of the Liturgy and may be called on to sub for someone when you get to church, so please dress for Mass as though you are scheduled to serve. We as Liturgical Ministers, should set an example for others on how to dress for Mass with reverence and respect for our ministry and with a humble modesty for ourselves. s are needed at the 8am Mass.
