Ambient temperature -40 C C Storaging -40 C C Max temperature (tc-point) +65 C LUMEN MAINTENANCE Below is described the lumen maintenance and lifetime of Valtavalo G4 LED tubes as well as lumen maintenance of LED components used in Valtavalo G4 LED tubes. Only LED components, properties and performance of which are tested in accredited research laboratories according to applicable standards are used for Valtavalo LED tubes. The results are based on testing in normal operating conditions in room temperature (+25 C). The graph A below presents the lumen maintenance of Valtavalo LED tubes. The results are based on testing of 16,000 usage hours in normal operating conditions in room temperature. L= lumen output level (percentage of the initial lumen output) after certain number of operating hours. Higher driving current of LEDs increases the temperature difference between LED case and LED die and reduces the lumen maintenance. Test temperature i.e. LED case temperature of 55 C corresponds to situation where tube is under normal operation and ambient temperature near 35 C.

6 The graph below presents the lumen maintenance of LED components used in Valtavalo G-series LED tubes. Testing current (180mA) of individual LED components is 2-3 times higher than the current used for driving LEDs in Valtavalo LED tubes. Higher driving current of LEDs increases the temperature difference between LED case and LED die and reduces the lumen maintenance. ELECTRICAL WIRING Valtavalo LED tubes are primarily meant to be used with luminaires with magnetic ballast but they can be installed into luminaires equipped with electronic ballast, if the luminaire is modified to be compatible with LED tubes. See below for the electrical wiring of a Valtavalo LED tube in a luminaire with a magnetic ballast (Picture 1) and in a luminaire that has been modified to be compatible with LED tubes (Picture 2). LOGISTICAL DATA - Valtavalo G-series LED tubes are by default packed in standard packages of 20-60 pcs. (60 cm LED tube) and 20-50 pcs. (other tube lengths).

Inside the housing of a luminaire, the temperature is always about ten degrees higher than outside. Also, when the lamp is fixed high up on the ceiling the air is above room temperature due to stratification. This is why Valtavalo recommends to use the G-series in closed fixtures. 9
