2018 CATALOGUE Unique Puzzling Gifts

As we celebrate our 1st anniversary in the UK, we would like to extend our thanks to all the retailers who joined us in 2017 and made our UK launch such a success. For 2018, we are extending our Meffert Puzzles range, with the introduction of the Pocket Cube and Gear Egg. Additionally, the new XXL Gear Cube will prove a real handful, in more ways than one. We are very excited to announce the launch of Constantin Puzzles, from prolific puzzle inventor, Jean Claude Constantin. These have never before been available in the UK and are exclusive to Recent Toys UK. Our products appeal across the wide retail market, from gift shop to gadget store, from toy shop to tourist attraction. Due to their unique designs and high-quality production, these are gifts that are a delight to give or receive. In addition to the products shown in our catalogue, Recent Toys UK has an extensive selection of products which can be offered on an exclusive basis, as well as bespoke artwork and packaging designs. Please ask for more information on this service. Uwe Meffert Uwe Meffert first created a balsawood pyramid puzzle in 1970 to satisfy his own scientific curiosity. Ten years later, encouraged by the instant popularity of Erno Rubik s Cube, Uwe Meffert travelled to Hong Kong, found the ideal manufacturer and within the first year, had sold over ten million Pyraminx worldwide. The current Meffert range still includes Pyraminx, other puzzles Uwe Meffert created himself as well as contributions from other leading puzzles designers. Gear Ball The amazing Gear Ball is a remarkable piece of puzzle art, with interconnecting gear construction and smooth movement. Twisting in opposite directions, everything moves. Solve the puzzle so that each of the six sides is a different solid colour. Prof. Uwe Meffert Stephen J Woodman Managing Director Recent Toys UK SKU Code M5031 Barcode

Gear Cube Ghost Cube There is more than meets the eye with this six sided puzzle cube. Not only are all the sides white, but with odd shaped pieces, each twist creates strange angles and formations. A little scary, but a strong spirit will solve this. SKU Code M5045 It is a cube, but a cube with a unique difference. The Gear Cube has an intricate gear mechanism that no less than twelve 90 twists to complete one full rotation. An addictive cube, with an added layer of complexity. Skewb Xtreme Barcode MOQ 6 pcs SKU Code M5032 Barcode MOQ 6 pcs Megaminx Gear Shift With 50 moveable pieces, the Megaminx is sure to be the centrepiece of any puzzler s collection. Twist and turn each of the twelve sides until each face is one solid colour. Truly a mega challenge worth taking on. Don t be fooled by the apparent simplicity of Gear Shift. Discover that the core can be pulled apart and the eight meshing gears can be rotated separately. Simplicity now becomes a real challenge of logic. 4 Molecube The cube with a twist and a spin that will have you hooked. The challenge is to get each of the nine different colours on every side. It s like a colourful Sudoku puzzle in 3D. Pyraminx Approaching 50 years old and despite only having four sides, the Pyraminx is still a fascinating challenge and ideal for those starting on their puzzling journey. SKU Code M5044 Barcode SKU Code M5035 Barcode Skewb Xtreme With 28 difference faces to this puzzle, this is fun to the extreme. With it s beautiful geometric form and diagonal twisting mechanism, not only must the X on each side be a solid colour, the inner diamonds must also be only two colours. SKU Code M5038 Barcode Pocket Cube New for 2018, the latest addition to the Meffert Classic range. At first glance, the Pocket Cube looks like an easy 2x2 puzzle. However, with the axis offcentre and two different size segments, returning the puzzle to a cube is not as simple as you might first think. SKU Code M5059 Barcode

Gear Egg Following the instant success of the Mini Gear Egg this new larger edition joins the Meffert Classic range. The combination of the gear system and single colour makes returning this puzzle to it s egg shape a challenge that might scramble your brain. SKU Code M5065 Barcode Morph s Egg Twist the egg along the various axis and watch it quickly lose its shape. The challenge is to return the egg to the original form. No colours or patterns to help, it a healthy puzzle of egg white only! SKU Code M5041 Barcode Venus Pillow Keeping generations intrigued, the Venus Pillow is the mind-bending classic puzzle with a super smooth movement and intricately shaped faces. SKU Code M5037 Barcode Rainbow Nautilus Colorful spinning spiral Rainbow Nautilus is a spinning spiral of colour that will make you dizzy with all its twists and turns. An extraordinary, eye catching puzzle, Rainbow Nautilus is truly original. Twist and spin the spiral into a mixed palette of colour. Then try to re-create the Rainbow shell of the Nautilus back into its original shape. SKU Code M5056 Barcode MOQ 6 pcs 8 9

Skewb Ultimate This dodecahedron puzzle is a real challenge. Not only does it have twelve different colours to match, but the asymmetrical shapes give an added level of complexity. SKU Code M5034 Barcode XXL Gearcube The newest concept in cube puzzle design, with its brilliantly inventive gear mechanism. Twist and turn the cube to mix it up, then try to solve the puzzle by making all six sides one solid colour each. The XXL Gear Cube is a real handful, in more ways than one. SKU Code M5058 Barcode Feliks 9 At first glance, this puzzle looks like a classic cube. However, this 3x3 six-sided puzzle has a twist, there are nine colours to deal with. The solution, to arrange the Feliks 9, so that every panel has all nine colours. Pyraminx Deluxe Uwe Meffert s first puzzle invention is nearly 50 years old, even older than the classic cube puzzles. To celebrate the continued appeal of this puzzle, this special edition is produced in wood. SKU Code M5051 Barcode SKU Code M5052 Barcode

The goal is to untangle the knot inside the puzzle and have only one colour on each opposing pair of sides of the cube. Knot as simple as you think! Tetraturn This four-sided conundrum has two different challenges to solve. Firstly, try to position all the dials to make each letter match the one on the adjacent side. Then, step up to the second challenge and create a continuous line that travels through 1 to 12 in order without any break. SKU Code RT5049 Barcode SKU Code RT01 Barcode Brainstring Advanced Taking the original Brainstring to a new level, this puzzle has eight sides and four colours. The challenge remains to completely untangle the strings and so each opposing pair of sides has only one colour cone. SKU Code RT19 Barcode Hexaturn Step up the challenge to a six-sided level. Matching up the letters becomes more puzzling with more to pair up. The try to create a continuous line that this time travels through 1 to 24 consecutively. SKU Code RT5050 Barcode
