4 NWI DATA Established in the mid-1970s by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Image analysts use aerial imagery to identify and classify wetlands NWI attribute code based on Cowardin classification system (1979) System, subsystem, class, subclass, modifier NWI code and outdated schema makes data difficult to interpret and utilize effectively Georgia Geospatial Conference 4
