2 Introduction The only way to do great work is to love what you do. We are passionate about utilising imagery as a key mechanism towards data collection enhancement, analysis, mapping and as a key measure in supporting 4th generation communications and education.

3 What do we believe in? We believe that understanding our environment is key towards its conservation. Through our innovation arm, we work on developing UAV and underwater ROV technologies and tools to better assess and collect data in the field. We also believe in the power of community engagement, thus creating replicable solutions which are low cost and easily operated.

We are a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about creating 4th generation communication and data collection and analysis tools for enhanced engagement in interactive means. We are registered under the Sharjah Freezone area in the United Arab Emirates. We work out of Abu Dhabi as a central global hub to then work around the world in both terrestrial and marine as well as built environments. We believe that cost effective tools should be available to all. We believe in the power of community engagement and involving people in the collection of the data and the stories that they want to tell. We are passionate about working alongside developing countries and enhancing their environmental management.

We then pull from our global database of technical coding, engineering, scientific and communications experts to further enhance our ability to serve you. In-House Engineering We have been very lucky to work with several clients from around the world from various sectors including supporting Intergovernmental Agencies, Government Departments such as the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Special Initiatives such as the GEF Blue Forests Project, Private sector such as 5Oceans and Academia such as the Reach British School. We work in all conditions, in natural habitats, deep in the mangroves and under the sea or on a beach of a hotel. We would say that working away from our desks and showcasing beautiful environments is the best part of our jobs. We specialize in three complimentary specialisation areas through our team, as well as bringing in from our global connections expertise as needed. We have designed, built, or bought whatever is necessary to get the job done. These include customised long range UAVs, ROVs, underwater mapping rigs, imagery analysis tools and various 360 housings. Cory grew up in the country learning about nature, the environment around him, and how to repair whatever he had just broken. 10 years in the military brought him a level of focus and dedication that allowed him to self learn engineering. After working as an aircraft maintenance engineer, military and civilian, for somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 years, Cory decided he would much rather choose his own uniform and decided to found Distant Imagery. He currently spends his time designing and building anything that he can strap a camera to in the hopes that showing people enough of the worlds environments will help them understand, love, and protect them.

With the sincere belief that imagery plays a critical part of decision making and only through communities being involved within the process that true change will evolve. Like Cory, Wez is also from an aviation background. He became an aircraft engineer from teh day he left school until recently which has been 14 years. Due to the nature of working in aviation, finding the most effective and safest silutions to problems are always his priority. After a decade and a half of everything from composite work to avionics to running resets on military helicopters he decided it was time try something smaller (pun intended). As Director of UAV operations, Wez combines his 14 years or aviation experience, ability to build and/or fix just about anything, and the ability to overcome any obstacle in this way. These skills have make Wez a vital part of our ability to design, build, and maintain our growing fleet of UAV s as well as custom designed UAV s to fit our clients needs. As a former Canadian diplomat who worked nearly a quarter of a century in different developing countries and regions (Caribbean, Asia, Africa), his passion for photography starting while he was student in Montreal in the 70. He has participated in various photography groups and has exhibited in Kaleidoscope, Café Arabia, The Eye of the Beholder, Etihad Modern Art Gallery and solo Trait d union at the Alliance Française in Abu Dhabi. Some of his photos were also published through: Abu Dhabi through your eyes , magazine Discovery ME, Asian Study Annual Calendar in Pakistan and even rewarded (Earth Hour ADGas). He recently joined us to bring his 30 years of photographic experience.
