5 August 25, 2010 Sistemas de Innovación para la Competitividad (SINNCO) Guanajuato, Mexico Published and presented. Authors: Andres Torres Garcia, Christian Adan Espinoza Villareal, Juan Aranda, Vidal Ortiz, Victor Hugo Zaldivar Carrillo, Juan Carlos Alejandre Marquez Link to the publication: IVARC_076.pdf P R O J E C T S The Smart Separator June 2012 to Present Guadalajara, Mexico Team: Andres Torres Garcia, Luis Enrique Gonzalez Jimenez, Omar Humberto Longoria Gándara, Oscar Rodea Aragon, Eduardo Carballo, Javier Angel Castro Rubio, Francisco Sánchez García In charge of the identification and classification of the inorganic waste using images taken only from a web camera. A unique trash receptacle that can automatically segregate aluminum cans, plastic bottles and plastic cutlery from each other and all other trash with the possibility to train the system for other types of waste. The project was developed in C# which uses the EmguCV library that is a wrapper for the OpenCV library in.net framework. Line Following Robot January 2011 to December 2013 Team: Andres Torres Garcia, Oscar Rodea Aragón, Omar Humberto Longoria Gándara The project consisted in an autonomous mobile robot that could follow a black stripe on a white race track. We used a linear camera sensor to detect the black stripe. In charge of the black strip identification. We built and programmed an autonomous mobile robot for the Freescale Cup contest for three years. All the project was developed in C. Experiments with 3D Tracking of Physical Interactions June 2013 to August 2013 Tucson, USA Team: Andres Torres Garcia, Clayton T. Morrison, Ernesto Brau

6 Created five virtual scenarios to test the efficiency of a multiple object tracker algorithm (MOTA). Evaluated how well the tracker was able to track locations and positions over time using MOTA and MOTP (multiple object tracking precision) metrics. Windows Client to Start Graphic Driver Tests on Virtual Machines March 2013 to May 2013 Team: Andres Torres Garcia, Alberto Llerena, David Gonzalez Designed and implemented the GUI for the Windows Client in C#. Windows Client to Start Graphic Driver Tests on Virtual Machines had the objective to automate the tests of graphic drivers in different operating systems using a Windows client. Wireless Mobile Robot Controlled by Remote Human Machine Interaction with Video Streaming August 2012 to December 2012 Team: Andres Torres Garcia, Osvaldo Villalon, Oscar Rodea Aragon, Jorge Rodriguez, Omar Humberto Longoria Gándara Developed a wireless mobile robot that had a mounted web camera which streamed to a Freescale I.M53 processor which executed a Human Machine Interface on Linux to remotely control the robot.
