3 Narrow Web by Jet Technologies, Vol 4, 2013 Wow! Another year has almost passed. As we head to LabelExpo in Brussels, we can reflect on an exciting 2013 thus far. Jet Technologies has taken a major leap this year, establishing an office in Indonesia. Starting from scratch in a new country like Indonesia was both exciting and daunting yes, there has been more paperwork than one could imagine, but as we get to know more and more of our clients there, it is clear that it was a good decision and one that will serve us well in the long run. LabelExpo Brussels never disappoints and we look forward to the new product releases, the technology shoot outs and spending time with both clients and industry colleagues alike. If anyone is still thinking about attending, call your travel agent and book your flights it is always worthwhile. Pacprint 2013 PacPrint 2013 held in Melbourne was also exciting three years of planning and hard work came to life in what was our largest and most successful stand. We were pleased to see so many clients there and as always, we try to have as much of our equipment and products there, operating so we can run demonstrations. The launch of our Digital Inkjet Press (the Screen L350UV) was officially one of the highlights of the exhibition, winning acclaim from both clients and the exhibition organisers alike. I look forward to meeting our clients at LabelExpo in Brussels A Director of Jet Technologies Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, I was responsible for the establishment of the Print division (in 1999) and the launch of Jet Technologies in Indonesia. Jack Malki Director I am passionate about narrow web and my challenge is to build a team (and company) that constantly improves and is recognised as a valuable partner to our clients. It has been an interesting journey so far and I am excited about our future. David Reece Director Of Sales, Asia PAC An efficient team always performs better than a few star individuals. Our sales and technical team stretches from Indonesia in the west to New Zealand in the East, covering a great distance, many time zones and all kinds of different customers. Making sure that the right team members are available to clients at the right time is vital to ensure we deliver on our customer service commitment. Andrew Talaimanu Director of Sales, New Zealand I am excited about introducing the L350UV inkjet into New Zealand! My role at Jet is to ensure that our Kiwi clients have the best access to our product experts and international principals in whatever capacity works best for them. New Zealand has always been a strong focus for Jet and I am proud to say that in some instances, our greatest success has been in New Zealand.

5 Arman Mampuk Director of Sales, Indonesia My goal is to ensure that every inquiry is handled with knowledge, speed and efficiency... and a smile! My last role was with a multinational company that sold and supported sheetfed presses in the Indonesian market. This taught me the importance of being a trusted partner to your customers someone they can call at any time of the day or night. My job is to make sure that our clients in Indonesia are supported 100% in the best way possible, with as much knowledge and support from our technical team. I look to build the same trust and relationship with our client base in Indonesia. James Montgomery Technical Sales Manager It is a pleasure to work for Jet as they allow me the time and resources to properly support clients, together with an excellent range of inks. For more than fifteen years I have worked in the development and on-press support of UV and Conventional inks at key accounts throughout the UK and Europe for a market leader. I have been very fortunate to have a wonderful education in all modern print processes and configurations and been able to apply my ink chemistry knowledge along the way. I have a real passion for all things print and providing solutions. My expertise is in rotary screen and flexo pre press as well as technical support for our UV ink range. As a Scotsman, we are known for our attention to detail and perhaps that is why I have always enjoyed working with Jet and supporting our rotary screen range of products (mesh, CtP, inks and squeegee) as well as our flexo range of products (plate, CtP, inks and mounting tape). Martin McEwan Product Manager 3

6 My clients know they can rely on me 24/7 I have spent most of my working life in the printing industry. If there is one thing that I know, it is that there needs to be 100% commitment to the client and their needs. My clients know that whatever they need, whenever it is, they can rely on me and everyone at Jet to make sure that it happens.. Ruvan Weereatne Technical Sales Manager Attention to detail and thinking about all of the processes involved is vital in what I do. As the product manager for the Kocher + Beck range of tooling, it is my ultimate responsibility to ensure that hundreds of flexible dies per week are perfect, as well as managing the various solid tooling customer requests. Our response times are critical and we simply cannot make mistakes as tolerances are vital, so following and constantly improving our processes is very important in what we do. Mark Simpson Product Manager With more than twenty years experience in this field, there are not too many things that surprise me these days. Darryl Wilson Product Manager The shift to digital print is faster than expected and my role is to support our range of digital printing and digital pre press devices.! With more than ten years experience in the flexo pre press industry, my expertise has always been with CtP devices, software and plate materials, as well as matching that to the correct set of processing equipment to achieve optimal results. More recently my training has taken me to the field of inkjet, where my understanding of pre press has been vital in supporting and developing our inkjet printing press.

7 Wes Scott Technical Sales Manager It is very satisfying when you work with clients to make improvements on press and those improvements make a real difference that is what it is all about, helping our clients where they need it most. Having spent many years operating various Gallus and Nilpeter presses as well as years working in the prepress department of a label printer making their screens, my training has been on press in real life situations. Working with clients to achieve better results with regards to their rotary screen or flexo printing is what I do best. Rhoebee Clemente Product Support It is amazing to see our flexible die orders in the K+B system as they make their way through production and out the door just a few hours later! My role at Jet is with the rotary tooling customer service team. Customers rely on our team to ensure that their most complicated dies are perfect, with angles and die heights all checked, materials tested, CAD files drawn and ultimately, results achieved. Phill Grouse Ink Lab We get it right the first time around My role at Jet is to manage the Inklab. We have a state of the art Inklab, with everything necessary to ensure that we provide what the client needs, the first time and send out a consistent product at all times. We enjoy working on client projects and over the years have worked on all kind of weird and wonderful requests. 5

I m Rhoebee and I am here to help you with Jet-live, me on rclemente@jet-ap.com The first, most complicated phase has been dedicated to Flexible Dies, part of Jet Technologies Rotary Tooling portfolio. With the ever increasing use of the internet for the procurement of products it was paramount that a system be developed that could satisfy our client s needs, said Mark Simpson, Product Manager. Mark continued, On the surface Flexible dies may appear to be quite a simple tool, however with the growing number of die innovations it has actually been quite a complicated process. Writing a program that can automatically encompass every variation, coupled with a user friendly interface hasn t been easy.
