3 CATALOGUE #620 Page 3 Welcome to Saskatoon Stamp Centre s Catalogue 620. It s been just over a year since our friend and colleague Marilyn retired from Saskatoon Stamp Centre. As we continue to speak with her often, you can be sure she is enjoying her retirement and she appreciates the well-wishes that I have passed on to her, from you. Going forward, John may spend slightly less time in the office, but our catalogues, website, weekly s and Want List offers will continue over the years to provide you with the Canadian and Provinces stamps you seek. So, we have listed some exciting new stock for you to choose from, along with a few exceptional and rare showpieces to feature in your collections. An XF Used 12d Black with strong laid lines and a light cancel (Lot pictured on the front cover), is a beautiful rarity and starring addition to an early Canada collection. For the Newfoundland collector, we have listed three C5's! These 50 on 36 Columbia are available to you in XF mint (Lot 194), as well as two VF on Cover (Lots 195 and 196). We also have several early Canada Plate Proofs new to our stock which are a great way to add dimension to your story of these early stamps. We also added some excellent Modern Varieties to our stock recently. Among the good selection of Imperforates offered, an exceptionally rare Centennial 6 orange imperforate coil pair on Hibrite paper, (Lot 080), is pictured on the front cover next to the dramatic 50 Ghost Town error missing brown, (Lot 101), one of several missing colour varieties listed in this catalogue. There are few invert errors on Canadian stamps so naturally these make very interesting showpieces. The $2 Truro with inverted inscriptions we offer (Lot 135) is XF NH and rarer than a Seaway invert! While some stamps command higher prices, remember that interest-free monthly terms can usually be arranged if your purchase exceeds your monthly stamp budget. Most of the stamps listed here are new to our stock and have not been advertised before. Some stamps in this list have been reduced in price (WAS) or are being offered for the first time at a SPECIAL price. Also, this list offers a wide variety of material from proofs to singles and blocks of stamps. In many cases where a block or strip is listed, we may also have singles or pairs in stock so please ask if you are specifically looking for a smaller item.
