I want to be a doctor when I grow up Leung Nok Yi 6A (19) I want to be a doctor when I grow up. I saw doctors saving many people on TV. I think doctors are great. Maybe I can do it, too. So I told my mum that I want to be a doctor. I want to be a doctor because it is a meaningful and challenging job. I cannot be a doctor unless I am helpful. I feel happy after helping others. Besides, I know that a doctor s duties are to save people and help people, so I think it is important to be careful and attentive. Luckily, I am a careful and attentive person. Why can t I be a doctor? My classmates always encourage me to be a doctor. I will work in a hospital and work irregular hours if I become a doctor. When I work, I will need to use a stethoscope. I am not a patient person, maybe I will try to do puzzles to help myself to become more patient. To achieve my goal, I need to study hard for the DSE exam in the future. I wish I can become a doctor one day.
Jenny Chow 6A I want to be an architect when I grow up I have seen plenty of different buildings in my life. I want to build one or maybe some. That is why I want to be an architect. An architect is someone who plans, designs and reviews the construction of buildings. I can t be an architect unless I am creative and sociable. An architect works in an office. Their working hours are regular. As I said, I can t be an architect unless I am creative and sociable. I am training myself to be a more creative person. I will train myself to use my left hand to write. I also want to be more sociable. I will try talking to strangers and meet more new friends. I want to be an architect because I love the design of special buildings. The main reason is that I want to know more about buildings. Moreover, I will be very glad if I can in the architect field. I cannot be an architect unless I graduate from university. I am going to study hard and get good results to achieve my goal.
Mike Kong 6A I want to be a doctor when I grow up I would like to be a doctor when I grow up. This is to achieve some of my life goals such as making a contribution to the community and saving more lives. However, being a doctor is not easy. People cannot be a doctor unless they are caring and hard-working. They have shift duty schedule too. So if you do not have good time management skill, this job is not suitable for you. Therefore, I am trying to solve these problems now. I am trying to be more caring and hard-working as it is a 36-hours job for each duty. I am also writing a working schedule monthly. This can help me to have a well-organized schedule. I think I am suitable for this job as I have already learnt something about science and health. This job requires a lot of knowledge of science, biography and health. To achieve my goal, I am going to learn more about how the body works. I hope I will be able to be a doctor before 25 years old.
I want to be a fashion designer when I grow up Cassidy Wong Man Wai 6A I want to be a fashion designer when I grow up. It is because I think it will be exciting to see people wearing what I design. I am interested in fashion design. Let's talk about the job. Fashion designers have to design clothes and maybe accessories, too. I can be a fashion designer unless I am creative and artistic. Fashion designers work in their own office. They have a regular working schedule. They work for 9 a.m. to 5p.m. Why does this job suit me? It is because I like to draw clothes and do art and crafts such as DIY. How can I achieve my goal? I think I can practice more and learn to use a sewing machine and other machineries. I really really hope that I can achieve my goal.
I want to be a lawyer when I grow up Ryan Chan King Man 6A Do you know what I want to be when I grow up? I want to be a lawyer. It is because I can help people to get justice. I know that lawyers have to solve different cases. Lawyers also need to have a good sense of judgement and good communication skills. It is also important to be perseverance. Perhaps, I have to learn how to convince everyone in the court to rescue the innocent from injustice. I need to get enough sleep so that I can have the spirit for working in the court for twelve hours a day. In order to be a successful lawyer, I need to study the Hong Kong Basic Law and the regulations of Hong Kong very well. Maybe, I have to read the newspaper everyday and join the debating team in my secondary school. If I become a lawyer, I will do my best to help people and donate money from my high income to help poor people.
Winky Wu 6A I want to be a vet when I grow up I want to be a vet when I grow up. What is a vet? The job duties of a vet is to take care of the sick and hurt animals. In fact, a vet is the nutritionist of the animals. On the other hand, a vet will sometimes help the animals to prevent from being sick too. In conclusion, a vet is important for the animals. There is a story about why I want to be a vet. A long time ago, when I was a little girl, my mum asked me what I to be when I grow up. I was surprised as I was still young. Until I reached nine, my class teacher Mr. Law asked us, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' Then I think seriously. I think I want to be a vet as I love animals and I am not afraid of blood. I think I am suitable for this job because I am a patient person. I will be hard-working if I want to achieve my goal. I should also learn more knowledge about animals. I wish I can be a vet when I grow up!
Monica Lam 6A (15) What do you want to be? I want to be a flight attendant when I grow up. If I were a flight attendant, I could fly around the world. I want to be a flight attendant because I like travelling on the plane and I can serve people on the plane. My job is to serve people on the plane and make sure that they feel comfortable. I can t be a flight attendant unless I am hard-working and tall. I will work irregular hours on the plane. It is a hard job. I think am not suitable for this job because I am not helpful and I am not tall enough. In order to achieve my job, I need to study hard and try to help others to become helpful. I hope I can be a flight attendant when I grow up.
Chan Yat Yi 6A I want to be a policewoman when I grow up I want to be a policewoman when I grow up. If I become a policewoman I would patrol all the places in Hong Kong. I might get tired easily because I need to work 40 hours a week and provide 24 hours public service. I want to do this job because I can help people who are in danger and protect all the people in Hong Kong. This job is very meaningful, but the most importantly is that I want to catch all the thieves in Hong Kong, so that Hong Kong would be more peaceful and safe. I think I am suitable for this job because I can run very fast. However I do not have good eye sight. Maybe contact lens will help me then. I cannot be a policewoman unless I am helpful and brave. Why don t I choose another job? I don t want to because to be a policewoman is my dream. I wish I can be a policewoman when I grow up.
Rosalie Chan 6A I want to be a lawyer when I grow up I want to be a vet when I grow up. I really don't know why I want to be a vet in my future. Maybe, I love animals so much. When I see some pets get hurt, I felt very sad and worried for them. I am also very angry at their masters because they didn't take good care of them. l don't want to see the animals suffer anymore. To achieve my goal, I have to be careful and caring. I need to be careful and caring when I do operations for animals and look after them. Being a vet, I need to cure animals when they get sick or get hurt. I will cure animals in an animal hospital. I have to work long hours. If I can, I will be on call for 24 hours. I am sometimes quite careless. From now on, I will double-check the work I do and try not to rush through any of them. I hope I will make less mistakes. I really love animals. I wish I can cure animals and be a vet one day.
I want to be a doctor when I grow up Wong Shing Hei, Angus 6A I want to be a doctor when I grow up. I have four reasons. Firstly, I want to help people in need. Secondly, I want to earn lots of money. Thirdly, it is interesting. Lastly, I want to be a famous doctor. I think I am suitable for this job because I am brave and I want to learn more things about the human body. I need to be kind to achieve my goal. If I become a doctor, maybe I need to work 24 hours to help people who are in need. I cannot be a doctor unless I am brave. I need to help people to do surgeries. I need to work in a hospital and stand by all the time. Also, I need to be very kind as everyone knows that it is the most important as a doctor. So, I think that being a doctor is not easy. Maybe I need to study more and perhaps I need to be more hardworking. I will try to be more hardworking and careful.
Nicole Lau 6A I want to be a medical scientist when I grow up My dream is to become a medical scientist when I grow up. There are different reasons why I want to be a medical scientist. First, I am interested in medicine and I want to contribute to the society in the future. Besides, a medical scientist has plenty of opportunities upon graduating. Last but not least, I want to help people who suffer from AIDS. A medical scientist needs to do a lot of researches about human disease and develop vaccines, treatments and cures. I can t be a medical scientist unless I am courageous. It is because medical scientists need to explore in new experiments. Medical scientists work in offices and laboratories. They have long working hours. I think this job is suitable for me. It is because I am a creative person. I always come up with new ideas. I can come up with creative experiments to explore new method of treatments. If I don t study hard, I cannot be a medical scientist in the future. I will study hard to achieve my goal.
