28 Warranty & Care Guide FEATURES OF NATURAL WOOD Wood is a natural material with rich tactile properties that should not be mistaken for flaws. Wood Shading and Grain Each piece of wood will have a slightly different grain pattern. Variation in hue may also occur within the same series of products. This is a normal feature of natural wooden furniture. Knots Knots are natural features on wooden furniture, which add a sense of charm without compromising quality or performance. SUNLIGHT AND HEAT - Avoid exposing your furniture to excessive heat, e.g. placing it by a radiator or stove. This may cause the wood to crack. A minimum of 30cm clearance from heat source is advised. - Direct sunlight will cause the color of wood to fade, even with a stained or lacquered coating. This will be particularly noticeable when the furniture is placed beside a window or in a conservatory. - Never place hot dishes directly on wooden or painted surfaces. A tablemat is recommended. LEATHER CARE Leather is a natural material and needs special care. Prevent your leather furniture from fading by placing it away from direct sunlight. Keep your furniture away from heat sources to prevent it from drying out over time. Avoid using alcohol, cleaning solvent, oil, varnish or surface polish. To clean dirt or spills, use a soft dampened cloth with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth to remove soap residue. Dry with a soft, clean towel. Stellar Works One-Year Warranty Stellar Works warrants original retail purchasers at the original delivery address with the following one-year warranty on manufacturing defects: - Wooden frames and wooden parts - Cushioning - Leather upholstery - Stitching - Metal frames - Mechanisms Regular wear and tear is not covered by this warranty. LIMITED WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS This Limited Warranty is extended by Stellar Works to the original retail purchaser, and not to a third party. This Limited Warranty is therefore not transferable. This Limited Warranty: - Applies only to Stellar Works products for household use, kept and maintained in accordance to the instructions provided in Stellar Works documents such as this limited warranty. Does not apply to any Stellar Works product that is used for commercial, contractual, institutional, -rental or other non-household usage. - Does not apply to any Stellar Works product that has been altered, modified or repaired without prior approval by Stellar Works. - Does not cover damages incurred during the transportation of the product. -Does not apply to the fabric coverings used on Stellar Works upholstered products. -Does not apply to damages resulting from abuse, misuse, negligence, cuts, scratches, accidents, burns, fire, water or other hazards, chemical or non-chemical, following shipment to the original retail purchaser. -Does not apply if items have been exposed to direct sunlight, bright lights, extreme heat or similar conditions, resulting in discoloration, cracking or peeling of the materials. -Does not apply to damage resulting from the application of cleaners, conditioners, treatments or other chemical and non-chemical products that are not approved by Stellar Works, or to damage caused by corrosive chemicals such as acids or solvents, dyes, inks, paints, body fluids or similar fluids or chemicals. - Does not apply to floor samples or to sales made on an "as-is" basis, or clearance stock.

29 Warranty & Care Guide Limitation and exclusions If a Stellar Works product does not conform to this Limited Warranty, your sole and exclusive remedy is (1) Refund of any defective product or repair of any part of any product determined to be defective; (2) Replacement of any defective product or replacement of any part of any product determined to be defective; (3) Refund of the original purchase price being paid for the defective product upon returning to Stellar Works of the defective product free from all liens and claims; at Stellar Works' sole option. Stellar Works will pay the cost of labor, shipping and handling to repair or replace defective parts only. All implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of the express Limited Warranty set forth for the Stellar Works product in this Limited Warranty. The Limited Warranty and remedies are exclusive and are in lieu of all other warranty and remedies, verbal or written, expressed or implied. Some states do not allow an exclusion or limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply. If any material or parts used in any defective product is unavailable at the time of repair, under the condition that Stellar Works elects to repair the defective product, Stellar Works reserves the right to substitute materials or parts of equal quality and value as determined in the sole discretion of Stellar Works. Stellar Works shall in no event be responsible for any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of time, usage, or money and in no event shall the responsibility of Stellar Works for any defect exceed the purchase price paid by you, the original retail purchaser of the product. Some countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply. TO VALIDATE YOUR CLAIM UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY Claim should be made by the original retail purchaser through the retailer from whom the Stellar Works product was purchased. To claim your warranty, you must specifically do and provide the following: (1) Submit to the retailer a written limited warranty claim form, (available from the retailer from whom you purchased the Stellar Works product) containing a detailed description of the claimed defect(s) and a copy of a dated proof of purchase of the product. (2) Submit to the retailer with the written limited warranty claim photographs of the Stellar Works product and of the claimed defect(s). (3) Submit to the retailer any report of an independent technician reviewing the claimed defect(s). (4) Make limited warranty claims to the retailer promptly following the discovery of any alleged defect, but no later than thirty (30) days after the alleged defect should have been discovered. Stellar Works and retailers of Stellar Works products do not accept a Limited Warranty claim from an original retail purchaser who fails to include all of the information requested in the sections reported above. After reviewing your warranty claim, the retailer may determine that it is necessary to send a technician to review the alleged defect. The technician will review the defect and conduct appropriate tests or take additional photographs of the furniture for submission to Stellar Works. If the appropriate claim information is provided, the retailer will contact Stellar Works for warranty service if it is deemed that the claimed defect is covered by this Limited Warranty. The retailer will then submit your written Limited Warranty claim, photographs, and any independent technician report to Stellar Works for consideration and approval. If you cannot make your Limited Warranty claim to the retailer because the retailer is no longer in business, or if the retailer is unwilling to submit your Limited Warranty claim to Stellar Works, you may submit your written Limited Warranty claim (which requires submission of the articles described above) directly to Stellar Works at the address below, or to any Stellar Works local office. In some cases, Stellar Works may require you to submit the report of a qualified technician. All decisions regarding claims will be made within 30 days from receiving by Stellar Works of the claim. If a claim is approved, Stellar Works will fulfill its limited obligations to repair or replace the product as set forth herein within a reasonable time period. This warranty does not cover packaging, shipping or transportation costs to and from the manufacturer, retailer or other repair point as required Stellar Works. These costs remain the responsibility of you, the original retail purchaser. OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS This Limited Warranty gives you, the original retail purchaser, specific legal rights, which may vary depending on your nation of abode.
