1 Junior Infant Stationery List September June 2019 The codes below are for Aisling copies which are widely available. Copy code Description Label to put on for school Asj07 20mm (large) squared copy Name only (we ll do a mixture in this) Asxp15 Asxp15 Project Copy (blank bit at the top of the page for a picture and lined underneath As above N.B. Do not cover this copy as I will be chopping them in half. Please label the top and bottom of the front cover. We won t use them until the 2nd term. Creative Writing Dictation Asx2 40 page Blank copy Sloppy Copy A4 plastic folder A5 plastic folder A5 plastic folder Get a strong one if possible as this will be well used! It will contain all homework/notes messages etc. Make sure this is the correct size as A5 is the size of our readers. Homework Folder Bookworm Dictation Other stationery 1. Glue-stick e.g. prittstick etc. (labelled) This needs to be replenished when it runs out. 2. Twistables (optional). Crayons are provided but many children prefer to have their own. LABEL EACH INDIVIDUAL TWISTABLE!! 3. 2 Triangular gripped pencils (preferably Faber Castell). It is essential that these are labelled as they all look alike once they are in the classroom.

Label one Reading Folder and the other Homework Folder. Copies Scrap book Pencil cases page writing copies labelled: - Irish / Gaeilge - Irish Spelling Practice / Litriú - English Spelling Practice - English - English News, Diary and Letters - English Poetry - English Free Writing - English Dictation - SESE History, Geography and Science - Music - Friday Test Copy 3 88 page C3 Sum copies, labelled Maths tests, Maths 1, Maths 2 Preferably one larger than an A4 page and label it Art. One pencil case, fully equipped with 4 pared pencils, 2 red pens, 30cm ruler, a glue stick, rubbers and parers. Coloured twistables in a second pencil case. Some parents like to label these with names or a distinguishing mark, so that the children can identify their own colours. These pencil cases should remain stocked throughout the year and pencils should be pared at home ready for school. Should any item need replacing, your child will get a reminder in the homework diaries or by a message on the Class Dojo. Other items In September, it would be very helpful if your child could also bring the following to school: - An art t-shirt, which is an old adult t-shirt that fits over clothes to protect them during art time. - A wide neck water bottle, which is kept on the table to sip water from throughout the day. - A recorder. * o An older sibling might be able to give their recorder for the year. o Aulos recorders are available from music shops (such as McGoldrick s Navan, opposite Páirc Tailteann) for around 12 or 20 depending on the type of recorder you choose. o I can get your child a recorder on request in September too, should you not be able to buy one during the summer holidays. (I m hoping to teach 2 nd class recorder every Thursday and Friday next year. I am also going to buy a folder which will hold our recorder tunes for the year. I ll try to purchase these in bulk as cheaply as possible, and I ll let you know its cost early in September.)
